Buzzmaster (10:01 AM)
Gooooooooood morning!
Scott (Brewtown)
Good Monday morning! Still 62 degrees after a weekend with both days sunny and in the 70's. Even with the Packer being wretched, I must still smile on this fine morning!
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Good morning, folks! Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Marc (Charlotte)
Morning everybody. T-minus 9 hours until the defending national champion Tar Heels take the floor.
Rich Rodriguez (Ann Arbor)
Fat guys who strain their shoulders need to get lives.
John (Lexington, KY)
The marathon of refreshing to get the chat to load. LOVELY
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
Starting today's MB with DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Hola, Buzz Nation! Got my Kevin Malone bobblehead for my birthday along with my Royal Red Robin burger. Life is good even with the PSU bad loss Saturday.
Ryan (San Diego)
Thank you Giants! We got the better quarterback plus the guy who had 2 sacks yesterday. Awesome game
Vicki (Indiana)
Wohoo! The Buccaneers finally win one!
Greg (Ellicott City)
Good morning Buzz.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Wedding turned out to be fantastic! Saw some old friends I hadn't seen in a while and had a great time at the reception. Beer/wine at the bar was free, but cash for cocktails.
Buzzmaster (10:03 AM)
Good comprimise.
Clay (Charlotte)
Good Morning Buzz, my liver hates me...Nate and Brian, I made you guys proud this weekend.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
My wife and I filled 32 of those huge lawn bags with the rest of the leaves and branches on our yard yesterday. That was after 32 bags last week, too. Damn am I sore this morning.
Pete (NC)
Too many sport stories from this weekend. I predict an overload to occur in many TMBer offices.
Matt (IN)
Good morning everyone. Charlie Weis is fat.
Clay (Charlotte)
See Clinton, that's why you should always listen to people in TMB...wait, I'll take that back.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Somehow I figured we'd be hearing from Ryan early this morning.
Greg (Ellicott City)
Clinton's old friends: George Washington and Ben Franklin.
Nate (Madison)
Clinton, I also had a fun wedding this weekend. It was one of those where everyone knew everyone, no real single/random girls so just turned into a drinkfest. Which was fine, my parents were there to drive me to the post reception bar so everything was covered. By the way, it was a cash bar....free beer/wine but hard stuff cost $.
John (Lexington, KY)
We've found a worse QB than Jamarcus Russel, his name...........Reggie Wayne
Abraham Lincoln (Gettysburg)
Four score and seven years ago, Clinton and I pulled a Nate and Brian.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Almost always, Clay.
Marc (Charlotte)
Ryan probably got up extra early to pop his collar
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
I'm now 7-2 in the MB FFL and still don't have a big time RB.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
By the way, congrats to Steve (NJ) for no longer being engaged!
Vick (Indiana)
Tom, just get a mulching mower. So much easier.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Funny moment from the reception: At the garter throw, about ten guys (myself included) scurried away from that thing like it was a punt.
Buzzmaster (10:06 AM)
That's the only acceptable move in that situation.
Buzzmaster (10:06 AM)
BTW, they still do that?
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Good thing Charlie Weis makes all of that money. Now he can hire someone to pack his bags for him as he prepares to leave South Bend.
Buzzmaster (10:07 AM)
But...but...they played USC close. And they pulled out the win against Washington.
Matt (Portland, ME)
I'll take $45 on a $1 scratch ticket to start my week, thanks.
Ryan (San Diego)
Marc, weirdest thing happened yesterday. Right after Rivers threw that TD pass to Vjax, my collar popped on it's own. Almost like it was saying..."I know the drill"
stephanie (cincy)
I found it funny that all of the sudden Navy became a pretty good team, unlike the cupcakes Ohio State played them
Clay (Charlotte)
Buzz, I think you dripped some sarcasm on the floor....can we get a mop?
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
I have way too many leaves for a mulching mower to be effective on them. And way too many hills.
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
The grandson's team had a big win Friday night. 70-zip. The starters were out before the end of the 1st half.
Vicki (Indiana)
Oh at weddings when they announce the bouquet tossing, I'm usually one of the first girls up.
Nate (Madison)
I knew the night was going to be a little crazy when a fellow friend of mine told me to meet him at the bar (me/him were one of the few single guys there) and I get there just to have a Patron shot thrown my way. Followed by me buying a chilled Jamison shot right after.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
I've been to weddings in the past that haven't done it. There was no big scene about the groom retrieving the garter at this one, he just had it in his hands.
Neal (Philly)
Morning Buzz. I will be mostly non-existant today, like PSU's offense.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Wait, Nate's parents are enablers? What is wrong in Wisconsin?!
Reggie (Boston)
How are the Giants so bad? 80 yards in a minute is so ridiculous
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
I RUN from the bouquet.
Eli (NYC)
Ryan, has that QB won you a Superbowl yet? Didn't think so...
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
I'm thinking the Giants are plenty happy with that Lombardi trophy they got out of the Rivers' trade.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Don't forget those riveting nail biters over Michigan State and Purdue, Buzz.
Matt (Portland, ME)
My brother informed me that his wedding next year is full open bar. Awesome.
John (Lexington, KY)
Another NFL week, another game the Saints should have lost. Drew Brees has 8 turnovers in the last 3 games....
All of Miami (Miami)
Joey Porter was absent from the stat sheet. SHUP UP JOEY!
jimmy (new jersey)
lets go eagles
Bob (Wisconsin)
I repeat for the fourth week in row. The Giants are a fraud team. They really aren't as good as the sportscasters and media want them to be.
Ben (Tempe, AZ)
Ughh! I hate Mondays.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
And how about those Boilers? First win in the Big House since 1966, and the first time beating both OSU and UM in the same season since 2000!
Nate (Madison)
No...they just don't want me driving drunk and with a lack of cab service in my hometown (city of 77k), they would rather take me to the bar or pick me up at bar time then have me drive or riding home with a drunko.
David Tyree (Somewhere)
Hey Eli, I think I had a little to do with us winning that Super Bowl
Scott (Brewtown)
This just in: Tampa sacked Aaron Rodgers yet again.
Ryan (San Diego)
Rivers has only started for 3 seasons, judge accomplishments like Super Bowls at the end of their careers. The bottom line is Rivers has proved he is the better qb over their careers so far with better numbers across the board. Are people saying Dilfer is a better qb than Marino because of 1 title?
Greg (Ellicott City)
Tyree is in Baltimore. I would of thought he would know that.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Amazing how much we are learning about Andre Agassi now that he's trying to hock his book.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
Seems that Nate and Brian would save a lot in cab fare if they just lived in one of those above-bar apartments.
stephanie (cincy)
When the bouquet is thrown, I have to take an emergency phone call from my son. Works everytime
Ben (Madison, WI)
I seem to only stop by the MB when I have a test in 20 minutes. Anyways, good morning Buzz.
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
I'm with Bob on that.
Sean (Philly)
The last few Weddings I have been to did not do the garter/bouquet throw. Which is good, because I got in trouble a one wedding where my girlfriend at the time pushed people out of the way for the bouquet, and the groom threw the garter directly at me and I side stepped it. I think a 12 year old kid picked it up.
Nate (Madison)
Tom, I've heard that's not all it's cracked up to be....at least if you're the floor right above (constantly hearing music, etc). But hey, I wouldn't mind trying it out!
Vicki (Indiana)
I was more surprised his hair was fake than that he used meth.
People (Everywhere)
Dilfer > Marino
JB (TX)
Dan Marino was overrated.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Nate and Brian = Oswald and Lewis.
Nate (Madison)
I always get stuck going out there for the toss, tried to hide Saturday but got caught. I just stand in the back and "accidentally" avoid the toss. It's comparable to Ryan Leaf and success, I just tend to avoid it.
Neal (Philly)
I caught the garter once. I'm still single.
Brian (Madison, WI)
Me living above a bar would not be a good idea.
Vicki (Indiana)
I have yet to catch the darn bouquet. Maybe that's why I'm still single. That and there aren't any good single guys in my town.
Rich Rodriguez (Ann Arbor)
Meth users with fake hair need to get lives.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
With each passing week in the NFL I wonder if the Vikings are really as good as that 7-1 record. Have they beaten anyone good yet?
Matt (IN)
Buzzard, how did the kickball go?
Buzzmaster (10:19 AM)
They did not get a first round bye and they decided to play the entire playoffs yesterday. LadyBuzz's team lost their first game, so they are done.
Greg (NY)
Vicki do you live near clinton. A little old but single.
Steve (Dallas, TX)
Rough game for the Sooners on Saturday. Josh (Lincoln) has every right to throw that one in our faces. That was the first time in 10 years OU has not scored a TD. Landry played horrible, our kicker missed 3 FG, and continued questionable play calling by Kevin Wilson. OU deserved to lose that game. Both Defenses were solid.
Brian (Madison, WI)
Is it required for single women to say that there are no good single guys in their town?
Nate (Madison)
60-70 degrees in WI during November?!?! I'll take it!
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
J.B.: We'll find out when the Vikings play the Lions next week at the Metrodome . . . oh, wait . . .
Ben (NC)
Throwing or catching a bouquet is so overrated. Stephanie if you don't want the bouquet just don't go to the reception. Unless of course it is an open bar*
John (Lexington, KY)
Got the new Droid from Verizon. Crashed on me almost immediately, but since then it has been awesome
Marc (Charlotte)
I've already got a wedding next April that is sure to leave me feeling horrible the next day. Pulling a Nate and Brian might be an understatement for how much drinking will occur.
Ben (Tempe, AZ)
I went to the ASU-USC game Saturday night. Annoying USC fans behind me. It took them a quarter to realize we benched our QB. Also, they never figured out Ryan Torrain was not our RB. I had to advise them he was on the Broncos last year...
fred (omaha)
hi vicki, i love indiana
Brian (Madison, WI)
LadyBuzz's team needs to go out and sign some quality free agents in the off-season.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Oh, dear, MB matchmaking...
JB (TX)
That was not me on the Dan Marino comment, but I do slightly agree.
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
I got my new DVR and high def. Welcome to better TV.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Aw, no more kickball updates? You need to get LadyBuzz involved in some other obscure team sport over the winter. Every hear of Wallyball, Buzz? It's a sport, honest.
Buzzmaster (10:22 AM)
Hmmmmm...there are Whirlyball leagues around here. Might have to look into that.
stephanie (cincy)
Ben, miss the entire reception to get out of a dumb custom that takes all of 2 minutes? I take my drink with me when I take the "call"
Luke Skywalker (Tantoui)
I've had my droid for years. It's great.
Sean (Philly)
Luke has been hitting the sauce a little early, I don't think that is close to how his home is spelled.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
Tantoui? Wrong, wrong, wrong.
Obi Wan (Tatooine)
Luke is lost I think
Matt (Portland, ME)
Buzz, ONB?
Buzzmaster (10:25 AM)
Let's do it.....
Ed Hochuli (Chat Ref)
Tommie Harris should know better than to throw a punch when I'm officiating. He's lucky I didn't throw a punch myself.
Kris Brown (Houston)
How'd you guys like my Scott Norwood impression?
Quentin (Green Bay)
Oh those Packers. They dug deep and found a way to lose to the 0-7 Buccaneers, but not just the Bucs, the throwback Yuckaneers-uniformed Bucs. That's just delightful. *Angrily grabs chair and tosses it across cubicle.*
jesse r (asheville nc)
where do you see javier vasquez playing next season and if traded, what would the braves be looking for in return?
joemama (joemomshouse)
josh mcdaniels breaks out a new weapon tonight.tune in.
J.T Whitley (Williamston N.C)
Do you think the eagles are going to start using M. Vick more now that they lost that game to the Cowboys?
RAY GORDON REID (JACKSON MISS 30201)
MY COMMENT AT 10.35 AM NOW BUZZ IALL READY GOT MY TURKEY FOR THANKSGIVING
Steve (NJ)
Goooooood Morning Sportsnation! I won't be around today because I'm on the way to the airport to start my honeymoon in Hawaii! The wedding was absolutely amazing, my wife looked unbelievably beautiful, and the bar was WIDE open. The food was fantastic, too; Buzz, we had filet mignon so you would have hated it. When I get back, I'll try to find the most embarrassing picture and put it up on the TMB FB page. Have fun in my absence, and remember, it's never to late to learn to read.
Buzzmaster (10:25 AM)
And that's it.....
Yoda (Dagobah)
Drink much they do in Madison.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Wally ball is volley ball played on a racket ball court. The ball is coated in racket ball material and you can hit the ball off of the walls (only one wall hits are allowed). I played it in college. Great game.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
I've always found it interesting that the bouquet catch is like a rugby scrum, and the garter catch is more like who happens to be the poor schmuck it lands in front of.
Josh (Lincoln, NE)
Pumped for the return of House tonight and the release of Modern Warfare 2 tomorrow!
Ryan (San Diego)
Dan Marino overrated, that's a good one. That's like saying pie is not one of the top 3 desserts
Peter LaFleur (Dodgeball)
Just throw on ESPN 8: The Ocho, you're one stop spot for obscure sports, Buzz!
Eric (Chicago)
The Bears suck! At least they didn't lose to a winless team!
Nate (Madison)
I know the Bucks are not a playoff team this year but they look better than I thought they would. Might not be long before they start to win some of the fans back that they lost during Karl's last few years.
ITG (Cyberspace)
Wow, you guys are such tools. ITS STAR WARS LOSERS!
Marc (Charlotte)
Cograts to Steve (NJ)
Vicki (Indiana)
I'm surprised the Bucs wore the orange throwbacks. I thought they said they'd never wear those again.
Marc (Charlotte)
But at least the Bears have a franchise QB now!
Buzzmaster (10:28 AM)
Yeah, they just don't have a OC who can do anything with him and a head coach/DC whose defense stinks.
Scott (Brewtown)
I can't believe the Packers lost to a group of Creamsicles.
Matt (IN)
Vicki, Tampa honored their 1979 NFC title game team yesterday. That's why they wore the throwbacks.
James (Miami, FL)
Ok I can handle the Packers talk occasionally but Bucks now? Buzz, cmon, is there any franchise that is more irrelevant than the Milwaukee Bucks?
Ben (NC)
To steve...(queen singing) Another one bites the dust.
Josh (Lincoln, NE)
Too bad the Bears forgot about their defense and offensive line. Oops.
Clay (Charlotte)
Okay, I have to admit, Ochocinco trying to give the dollar to the ref was hilarious.
Neal (Philly)
Sorry Detroit. There won't be another 0-16 team this year.
Marc (Charlotte)
Buzz, I was being sarcastic. Do I need to use "sarcasm quotes" next time?
Buzzmaster (10:30 AM)
I heard you correctly. But I was also pointing out some facts.
Ogre (Adams College)
I can't believe it...ITG is a NERD!
Sean (Philly)
What happened to Stafford yesterday? Started with two TD's, and finished with 5 picks.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Steve checking in on the way to his honeymoon. Might not be a good way to start off the marriage.
Lovie Smith (Chicago)
Buzz, I'm crushed. I thought we were friends.
Josh (Lincoln, NE)
I figured you were being sarcastic, Marc, but the Bears sucking is hardly Cutler's fault.
Nate (Madison)
Grizzles, Clippers, Rams, Bucs, Nationals, WNBA, Soccer, Pirates, etc. Just naming a couple from each sport.
Marc (Charlotte)
Too bad Ochocinco will probably be fined 10K for that $1.
Vicki (Indiana)
oh yeah I keep forgetting they won that. Probably because I was only a year old when that happened.
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
He can afford it.
Quaggs (Schaumburg, IL)
Bears have no o-line, and their best two receivers are there Running Back and there Tight End
Josh (Lincoln, NE)
Speaking of the Lions, I'd like to thank Roddy White and Calvin Johnson for sabotaging my fantasy team yesterday. Appreciate it, guys.
Eric (Chicago)
Cutler is a rally killer...Bears had some life down 34-21 and then Mr. INT throws one up for grabs. Cut him in the offseason. Start Caleb Hanie!
Scott (Brewtown)
So the family was at the Dells for a waterpark weekend, however when Saturday afternoon rolled around and it was 75 degrees we took the kids and went to a state park that's about 10 minutes away and went for a hike. Needless to say the kids were less than pleased.
Sean (Philly)
Josh, you played two WR's that were questionable for their games. Did you really expect them to put up 100 yards and 2 TD's each?
Marc (Charlotte)
I know Josh, I was just pointing out the fact that Bears fans have been longing for a QB for 25 years and now they finally have one and the rest of the team falls apart.
Quaggs (Schaumburg, IL)
Same here, Megatron just isnt the same with Stafford at the QBand Cutler will not be cut, get real, the bears problem is and always has been their old out of shape offensive line, you can put tom brady behind that line and he wouldnt have MVP numbers
Rex Grossman (UFL)
You never know what you had till it's gone
SteveFitz (Cicero, IL)
Orton lovers are now Caleb Hanie lovers. The worst kind of fans.
Sean (Philly)
Rally Killer? Who started the rally? Who had to throw into dime coverages because they were down by 2 TD's.
Scotts Kids (Dells)
(Glares in their father's direction)
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
I seem to recall several Bears fans in this chat praising the pick up of Cutler. I also seem to recall Buzz and others suggesting those fans temper their enthusiasm.
JB (TX)
Rex Grossman: still in the NFL (barely). JP Losman is the one in the UFL.
Vicki (Indiana)
Larry Johnson go bye bye from the Chiefs.
James (Miami, FL)
Seriously, Nate? Wow you must be proud that your team is more relevant than the Clippers! Btw, Bucs and Rams have at least won titles in the past 40 yrs.
Buzzmaster (10:38 AM)
Interesting, so have the Bucks.
Rick (Norwalk)
Started putting up my Christmas lights yesterday. I took advantage of the warm weather. I will start lighting them after Turkey day.
Clay (Charlotte)
Bears fans, I'm pretty sure Chris Leak isn't doing much these days.
Josh (Lincoln, NE)
Rex is on the Texans, I think.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Isn't there some saying that the most popular guy on the team is always going to be the backup QB?
Brian (Madison, WI)
Not very talkative today Buzz. Case of the Mondays?
Buzzmaster (10:39 AM)
Yeah...I've been sitting here realizing I got nothing today. I'm trying.
Nate (Madison)
James used "btw" Argument = Fail.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
I'm thinking James in Miami is the same guy that cracked on Milwaukee on Friday from some other location. Why do people hate Milwaukee so much?
Scott (Brewtown)
Christmas lights? I just got the Halloween decorations down.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Anyone watching 'The Amazing Race?' How about the two Harlem Globetrotters participating? Looks like being one of them isn't as great as it used to be.
Marc (Charlotte)
Do you think James (Miami) is related to our good friend Sam (MIA)?
Matt (IN)
Don't feel bad Buzz, I don't have anything today either. Which is like most other days.
Josh (Lincoln, NE)
Bad weekend?
Buzzmaster (10:42 AM)
No. Very good weekend. Which might be why I have the Mondays.
Nate (Madison)
Clinton, no idea. It's one of those places that people bash but everyone who has ever been there comes away changing their mind. David Thorpe from ESPN being one from last year when he came to watch the previously mentioned Bucks.
Quaggs (Schaumburg, IL)
Bears fans are very fickle, they love Cutler when he throws 3 tds and 300 yds, and are lookin for Hanie to start the next week when he throws an INT, if you watch facebook updates, thats the best example, after throwing an INT: Damn Cutler! You suck so much, Hanie or Orton wouldnt have thrown an INT!!! after a TD: Hell Yeah Baby, JAY CUTLER!!!
Buzzmaster (10:43 AM)
Welp, no one can argue with your wide, sweeping generalizing argument there. It's air tight.
James (Miami, FL)
I wasn't even here on Friday, Clinton. And my reasoning is that I just plain don't like their teams and fans. They think their teams are so much better than they are. The Packers are a total joke man. And I'm not a Dolphins fan so don't come back with your team sucks too.
Buzzmaster (10:43 AM)
Every fan thinks their team is better than it is. That's why they are fanatics about their team.
Matt (Portland, ME)
I went there to watch the Frozen Four a few years back. Had a great time.
Nate (Madison)
Buzz, I thought you weren't in the mood to comment. Damn it.
Eric (Chicago)
Never like the Cutler trade J.B., saw it 5 minutes after it was finalized and never liked the BUM! He sucks!
Sean (Philly)
Remember when the Globetrotter games were actually televised, and they did guest spots on popular shows like Giligan's Island and eve Scooby Doo? I guess the Confetti Bucket doesn't have the same allure anymore.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
I hear you, Buzz. If ever there were a weekend I could do a Groundhog Day on, this weekend would be a strong contender for it.
Steve (Dallas, TX)
I went to the mall this weekend and they already have there Christmas tree and decorations up. Soon they will just start putting up after the going back to school season.
Nate (Madison)
James it's my right as a fan to overrate my team!
James (Miami, FL)
Nothing against the place at all, Wisconsin's very nice.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Yeah, because coming back with "your team sucks too" is TOTALLY my style*.
Josh (Lincoln, NE)
I've never been to Milwaukee, but I've heard it's pretty nice. Wasn't it Bill Simmons that said it was one of his 3 favorite cities to visit?
Vicki (Indiana)
Cutler simply whined his way out of Denver.
Scott (Brewtown)
How can someone who lives where it warm all year, has beautiful people all around them all year, be so bitter?
Ben (Tempe, AZ)
James, Nate didn't even say the Bucks were good. He just said they look better then he thought they would...
SteveFitz (Cicero, IL)
Welcome to today's NFL Quaggs. Quit crying like it's only Bears fans that act like that just because you hate the Bears.
Mr. Rodgers (RIP)
Can't we all just get along?
jill (norman)
Whelp?
Nate (Madison)
Ok, but we can change the topic. No need to drown everyone with WI talk.
Neal (Philly)
The Globetrotters even appeared on an episode of Futurama.
Sean (Philly)
I would trade McNabb for Cutler, mostly because he is younger though.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Wow, this is getting chippy like that BYU/New Mexico soccer game...
Eric (Chicago)
And Milwaukee is nice...just so happens it's nicer when the Cubs are playing the Brewers at Wrigley Field North!
James (Miami, FL)
That was not directed towards you old man river. Zip it or I'll break ya hip!!
Buzzmaster (10:46 AM)
Dude, shut up. You're way too aggressive for a Monday morning.
Nate (Madison)
(Pulling James to the ground by his hair)
Eric (Mukilteo, WA)
Lets talk about the huskies
Marc (Charlotte)
James is probably one of the Yankees/Cowboys/Lakers fans.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
Have to take exception with your own sweeping generalization, Buzz. We Lions fans don't think our team is better than it is. We are well aware of how much they suck.
Buzzmaster (10:47 AM)
Touche.
Tom (Texas)
Cincy should not even be rated in the top 25 . . . giving up 45 points to a powderpuff team is not championship quality . . . go TCU!!!!
Jim Calhoun (Storrs)
That's right, Buzz. Shut up James! Just shut up!
Quaggs (Schaumburg, IL)
cubs stink, plain and simple
jill (norman)
I see why those parlay sheets are illegal. I'm never betting one of those again.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Buzz: I root for PSU and the Vikings and don't thing either of them are better than they really are.
Pete (NC)
So what the MB's consensus on someone inviting a group of people to dinner and a high school football game and then not going to the game because they have their softball game that night?
SteveFitz (Cicero, IL)
Elway whined his way out of Baltimore. Eli whined his way out of San Diego. Professional players whine every day.
Matt (Portland, ME)
At least you admit it, Tom.
jill (norman)
OU stinks, plain and simple.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
I will say that the two 'Trotters in the race (calling themselves, 'Flight Time,' and 'Big Easy') are really entertaining guys. I'm actually rooting for them to win.
James (Miami, FL)
It was an Adam Sandler joke, Buzz. Relax. And Nate just said he's gonna pull me down by my hair...noone's gonna rip on that comment?
Nate (Madison)
Pete, run that by again?
Ryan (San Diego)
Wake me up when Cutler has a season over .500 ever
Buzzmaster (10:50 AM)
Well, you're already awake, because he's already had one.
Sean (Philly)
James must not have watched Sportscenter this weekend if he didn't get the hair/BYU New Mexico tie in.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Not only are we not gonna rip on it, we're going to applaud, condone, and encourage more of it!
Scott (Brewtown)
Lunch: We reached some goal here at work that I had no part in, yet I will take full advantage of the free pizza
tom* (parkville, md)
Go Lions! Another first pick in the draft is well within our reach!
Matt (Portland, ME)
Nope, because that was moderately funny and timely.
Jay (NY)
Tom take it one step farther. Ohio State doesn't belong in the top ten, Penn State should barely make the top 25.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
I'd say that's really poor planning on their part, Pete, and a poor choice as well by picking their softball game over the football game.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Lunch: Sandwich, chips, and a soda.
Tom (Texas)
TCU should be in the NC game . . . but I see why they won't do it . . . TCU would dominate the game and viewers would get bored!
Nate (Madison)
But it's high school football? Unless it's a relative (possibly close family friend) or you work/attend the school I don't see why you HAVE to go watch.
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
Lunch: Going to buy a turkey, will go to the McDonalds drive thru.
James (Miami, FL)
Nah, didn't catch the hilights of BYU-New Mexico til 2 secs ago. I get it now though, those chicks are vicious.
Vicki (Indiana)
lunch: either Subway or Penn Station
Matt (Portland, ME)
Lunch: turkey sandwich and a coke.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
Lunch: Tacos and Mexican rice made by my wife. Outstanding work!
Jeremy (Boston)
Just realized the Ipod was off. That's what this chat needed. A little ACDC ...
Brian (Madison, WI)
Lunch: Going to run home and find something that looks tasty.
Marc (Charlotte)
Lunch: Mac and Cheese and Chicken Nuggets.
Sean (Philly)
Buying the Turkey already? We have almost 3 weeks till Turkey Day.
SteveFitz (Cicero, IL)
Lunch: IHOP, yep, breakfast for lunch today.
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
Football > softball.
Nate (Madison)
Lunch: Some kind of sandwich, not sure what.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
LUNCH: 6" turkey, cucumber, lettuce and tomato from Subway with some baked Southwest Ranch chips and a diet Coke on the side.
Matt (IN)
Robbi, you're getting the turkey from the McDonalds drive thru? Sweet.
Quaggs (Schaumburg, IL)
ACDC always makes things better
Ryan (San Diego)
Cutler's season as a starting qb. 2-3 rookie year, 7-9, 8-8 and now 4-4. In college, never had a winning season either. GL
Buzzmaster (10:56 AM)
We thank you for your math skills.
Robbi (Clinton, Ky)
Wal Mart has them for .40 cents a pound. Besides, it takes a week to thaw one.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Breakfast for lunch = always a good thing.
Nate (Madison)
I wonder if Ronald, Grimace, and company will make a comeback in McDonald's commerical department. Not sure why they ever dropped them off, not really concerned just curious.
Tom (Texas)
If the selection committee had guts . . it would be a Texas NC game . . Texas vs TCU!!!!!
Buzzmaster (10:56 AM)
In the BCS, it has nothing to do with the selection committee.
Matt (IN)
Ok Tom, we get it. You like TCU. No one else cares.
Vicki (Indiana)
I've had breakfast for dinner before.
Nate (Madison)
McTurkey.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
If PSU wins its final two games it will be 10-2 and will get a big payoff from a New Year's Day bowl game. We can put them down for not being very good but we can't say they aren't smart with their scheduling.
Tom (Texas)
Buzzmaster . . . the coaches' poll is the real selection committee
Buzzmaster (10:58 AM)
Nooooo. The BCS games are done via the computer rankings.
Nate (Madison)
Boise State has said they will play any team, anywhere in 2011 and it doesn't have to be a home and home. So far not one SEC/Big Ten/etc school has called them back.
Reggie (Boston)
If the computers had guts, it would be TCU vs Boise St.
Eric (Chicago)
Stay real SportsNation...have a good day!
Tom (Texas)
and how do you arrive at the BCS rankings?
Buzzmaster (10:59 AM)
Heck if I know. The computer does it all.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Thanks, Tom, you just gave me a rooting interest in the Utah-TCU game. Go Utes.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
If computers had guts, that means we've got Terminators running all over the place, and we're all screwed.
Rick (Raleigh, NC)
Buzz, the BCS only decides the top two teams. The bowls select from the remaining 12 teams in the top 14. From the Conference winners and two at larges.
Buzzmaster (11:00 AM)
Correct. They're selecting from the top 14 in the BCS rankings.
Quaggs (Schaumburg, IL)
Terminator 5: Rise of the BCS Computer?
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Great chat today, folks. Everyone with the exception of Buzz brought it for a Monday. Great weather here in the Northeast so I'm going to get out and enjoy it. Until tomorrow, have some fun, stay safe, and be good. Peace.

A metal Arnold is currently sitting in a room throwing darts at a list of BCS eligible teams.
Scott (Brewtown)
Have a swell Monday everybody. Even Bucks fans, Clipper fans, Pirates fans, Dolphin fans and James (Miami).
tom* (parkville, md)

Nate (Madison)
John Conner is running through a battlefied in a TCU jersey.
Matt (IN)
