Chat with Davis, Breslow, Bailey

Davis was originally drafted by the Pirates in 2001.
Welcome to SportsNation! On Tuesday, Oakland A's outfielder Rajai Davis and pitchers Andrew Bailey and Craig Breslow stop by to chat about the 2010 MLB season.
Davis made his Major League debut in 2006 with the Pirates. He made a stop in San Francisco before coming to Oakland in 2008 after the A's clamied him off waivers. He earned his way to becoming the starting center fielder for Oakland in 2009.
Bailey won the 2009 American League Rookie of the Year, finishing 6-3. He set an Oakland rookie record with 26 saves, while posting a 1.84 ERA. After making the team out of spring training, Bailey eased into his closer's role - not earning his first save until May, but converting his final 21 opportunities.
Breslow came to the A's early in the 2009 season from Minnesota. He provided valuable relief out of the bullpen, appearing in 60 games for the A's, with 13 holds and a 7-5 record.
Send your questions now and join the chat Tuesday at 4:15 p.m. ET!

Rajai Davis will be here to take your questions in a few minutes!
Buzzmaster (4:15 PM)
Rajai is here at ESPN with Andrew Bailey and Craig Breslow and they all did Baseball Tonight this afternoon.
Dave (Chicago)
You did a good job on Baseball Tonight this afternoon...did you have fun?
Andrew Bailey (4:18 PM)
We had a great time. Growing up, you love watching Baseball Tonight.
Rajai Davis (4:18 PM)
Absolutely, we look forward to coming on again.
Jeff (RI)
You've been with a couple of teams...what's it like going from one team to another? Are you excited? Upset? Nervous?
Craig Breslow (4:19 PM)
All of those tihngs. There is some element of disappointment when a team doesn't ant your services.
Rajai Davis (4:19 PM)
It's also nice playing against guys that you played with. And meeting new people.
Cruz (Bay area CA)
Do you feel the stat "save" is over rated? Don't closers normally start the inning with the bases empty?
Andrew Bailey (4:20 PM)
I don't think its overrated. If you look at the other relievers, theres the holds stat. I'm just the one that pitches the ninth. The whole bullpen should get the save.
Greg (Dallas)
What were your impressions of the A's before you became a part of the team? How do they compare to what the team is like?
Craig Breslow (4:21 PM)
I think prior to joining the A's, I understood their reputation of being a team that made the most of the minimum. To have the opportunity to see the inside of that I give a tremendous amount of respect for how they assemble the teams.
Andrew (Kansas City)
What's your opinion on the renovations at "The K". Just curious what an opponent thinks.
Rajai Davis (4:22 PM)
That's a really nice ballpark. I didn't get to see the old Kansas City. Seeing the old one, it's really inviting.
Andrew Bailey (4:22 PM)
It makes you want to play there. The scoreboard is huge. It draws a lot of attention as an opposing player.
Rajai Davis (4:22 PM)
It's nice that you don't have the hecklers out there.
Scott (San Jose, CA)
Andrew--I went to San Diego last summer for your trip to Petco for all three games in the series. Wanted to thank you again for signing autographs! Who would've thought at the time that you'd win the ROY. Do you pride yourself on being fan friendly?
Andrew Bailey (4:23 PM)
I do. You remember your roots. You have to keep in mind that you're playing a kids game and keep in mind that they didn't get the opportunity that you did. It's always nice to see a smile on someone's face.
Emerson (Charlotte)
Do you feel the Pirates have any shot this year?
Andrew Bailey (4:24 PM)
You never know. The Tampa Bay Rays gave it a shot a couple of years ago. Any team has a chance.
Craig Breslow (4:24 PM)
A chance at what?
kc (oakland)
What are some of your favorite places in the Bay? Please tell me you live in the East Bay and not SF....
Andrew Bailey (4:25 PM)
I like the touristy spots. Being from the East Coast, you don't get to see those places. San Francisco and the piers and some of those spots.
Rajai Davis (4:25 PM)
I like it when you take me around.
Craig Breslow (4:25 PM)
I ended up living in San Francsico and enjoy living there. I like to emerse myself in the culture of the city.
Rajai Davis (4:25 PM)
I enjoy Alcatraz.
Max (Oakland, CA)
What do you think about the recent Ben Sheets signing?
Andrew Bailey (4:26 PM)
I think it's good for our team and organization. Brings in some veteran leadership. It's a good acquisition.
Craig Breslow (4:26 PM)
Any time you can take the pressure off the young guys, it's a good thing. You don't have to have the pressure on one of the young guys.
Rajai Davis (4:26 PM)
I expect the A's to compete with any team.
Scott (San Jose, CA)
Raj--You've played home games at PNC and AT&T. I'm gonna put you on the spot here... Which new stadium is nicer?
Rajai Davis (4:27 PM)
I like playing in PNC Park. The whole background and just seeing the ball. It feels like a warm environment to hit. AT&T feels a little more breezy. Most nice days. The night games are a little cooler.
Scott (San Jose, CA)
Is there a story behind any of your respective jerseys numbers?
Andrew Bailey (4:28 PM)
Mine was given to me when I made the team last year.
Rajai Davis (4:28 PM)
11 has been my number since Little League. Barry Larkin wore it.
Craig Breslow (4:28 PM)
When you spend time with many organizations over 5.5 years, you don't really care what number you get.
Jeremy (Seattle, WA)
Raj, who do you think is your biggest competition in the AL West?
Craig Breslow (4:29 PM)
You can never really count out Anaheim. But Seattle has made the most improvements.
Andrew Bailey (4:29 PM)
The Angels are the reigning champs. They are always tough competition.
Rajai Davis (4:29 PM)
Sometimes you just never know. Injuries take place.
Andrew Bailey (4:30 PM)
I would think going in you're looking at SEattle to compete.
Rajai Davis (4:30 PM)
Keep hope alive.
Andrew Bailey (4:30 PM)
We'll see in a few weeks when spring trainig starts.
Craig Breslow (4:31 PM)
We thank everyone for their interest and sending in questions. Hopefully we will have a good season this year.
Rajai Davis (4:31 PM)
No, we WILL have a good season this year.
Buzzmaster (4:31 PM)
Thanks for chatting guys!
