He is not fighting The Ducker in July because The Ducker threw a fit over Wladimir's desire for the April interim fight. So Wladimir and the Adamek camp continue to finalize their agreement. If it works out it means Wlad-Chisora in April and Wlad-Adamek in September.

As far as I know, HBO would have bought Berto-Aydin as part of the November tripleheader when Berto was on the undercard. Now, it is not going to approve that fight as a main event.

My understanding is that CBS' role would be to televise a 24/7-type series leading up to the fight, perhaps on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon or in late night. I would also imagine you would see CBS assets like the CBS Morning Show or David Letterman or whatever, have guests on related to promoting the fight, that sort of thing.

Contrary to reports, Marquez HAS NOT rejected Morales as an opponent. Schaefer said that is absolutely wrong. He said, "We met with Marquez yesterday and he will get back to us. He hasn't rejected Morales." The issue is that they are haggling over the money. Marquez, obviously, is asking for a lot money. Golden Boy has a different figure in mind for what is a risky PPV. So they will see if they can reach an agreement. Schaefer said whatever happens, he is doing a PPV from MGM on April 9.

There's a story, the fight can be made financially and it's better than a lot of the options being floated out there. So what if Prescott lost a couple of fights? He didn't lose to bums first off. And he has won his last two fights. And if Khan thinks it's so easy then take the fight and knock him out. Why not make the fight and set the record straight?

Dan I love the Broner-Ponce de Leon fight. But is it just me or does it seem like a bit of a crazy fight for both guys to take. Broner is taking a huge step up in quality which is always dangerous for an inexperienced fighter and Ponce de Leon is on a good run of form and within touching distance of a major fight, so why risk it all in a fight where he has to move up to a new weight against a very dangerous little known fighter. Seems like a bit of a strange move by Golden Boy.

The issue isn't should Khan fight Prescott, the issue is, should HBO pay for this fight for an "inbetweener opponent". The current version of Prescott is not a competitive matchup and HBO is obviously trying to raise their game this year.

HBO should defintely buy an in between opponent. Keep this in mind -- HBO would be showing the fight on tape delay and not spending a whole lot on it. And it keeps with HBO's desire to keep Khan in the spotlight for a July fight with the winner of the Alexander-Bradley fight. Prescott is worthy of being that opponent based on his win against Khan. So, yes, HBO SHOULD buy a Khan in between fight as long as it's against a reasonable opponent and Prescott (or Peterson or Murray, for example) are reasonable.

Watching on TV sometimes you can tell this by the look on their face or in their eyes. Is it more noticable live when you are that close and have you ever saw the look in a fighters eye and said this guys got no shot ?

Example -- when I saw Michael Grant come out for the Lennox Lewis fight -- my first fight, by the way, after being hired as the fulltime boxing write for USA TODAY -- you could tell he had absolutely the worst body language ever. Everyone on press row knew it was an early KO waiting to happen and he got crushed in two rounds.
