Plus there is a huge notebook posted, some blogs from the week, several news stories (including on Roy Jones' return) and the rankings and schedule have also been updated, so we have much to discuss. Let's get to it.

It has been broached, but it is just talk at this point. If it happens, I guess it would not shock me because that's Floyd -- take on a smaller guy who has not ANYTHING of note in about 8 years. Gee can't wait to spend money on PPV to watch that, especially when it would be a crappy fight inside the ring. It makes Pacquiao-Mosley look like Ali-Frazier I.

I think Hasegawa is a guy who would fit in with any of the fights you can think of with top featherweights. He's a very good fighter and has made some exciting fights.

Dan, Will Antonio Margarito have any trouble getting licensed in Nevada? Would the Nevada State Athletic Commission want to hear what California has to say first?

I think at this point, Margarito would be licensed in Nevada without much issue. The reason he wasnt licensed last time was because they wanted him to go in front of California first. He did that. The reason he didnt come back to Nevada at that point was because of the time crunch to make the Pacquiao fight, which went to Texas, where they didnt have to jump through hoops.

Put it this way -- he's a lot better than the two opponents Kirkland fought since coming out of prison. So he is a step up and he has some good experience. But he is older, not too fast and I'm not sure how he will deal with James' pressure. But it's the proper kind of step up for James on the comeback trail.

Dan, while much has been made of Epix problems getting the stream up, the fact that 100,000 people would sign up to watch the fight is testament to the popularity of boxing ? and the Klitschkos.

Although Epix was not happy to have the problems with its site, they were very, very happy with the response to the fight. They WILL be doing more boxing. Count on that. As an aside, I had a blast working on the telecast.

There is definitely a difference in some brands even though they weigh the same. It depends on how the padding is distributed. I have held, for example, Reyes gloves and Winning gloves. It's like night and day. Reyes and hard and sharp. Winnings are like pillows. Some fighters like the Winning kind because they protect the hands more than a Reyes. But Reyes can inclict more damnage because of how hard and sharp they are.

Apples and oranges. HBO can do that on live HBO shows. On HBO PPV, they produce and distribute the fight but the promoter is the one who takes the risk. HBO could, of course, elect not to be involved, but this is still a business and Floyd against anyone will generate buys and revenue. So I would expect HBO to be involved in Mayweather's next fight no matter who he fights, even if the fight is a pile of crap.

Did I write my opinion on his performance in the fight? Sure. That's what I get paid to do. But for Shannon to accuse me of the things he did, he is on very desperate footing and better watch what he says.

I have had multiple people in this business with no dog in the hunt say the same thing. Lebedev is a bad man. Roy is in deep, deep trouble in this one. He's not fighting Badi Ajamu. He's fighting a strong, powerful legit cruiserweight who is one of the best guys in the division (and who many thing beat Huck).

HBO showed a lot of class by inviting Nick to call the opening bout with Garcia and Remillard. So from what I understand, Bob Papa will introduce Nick, who will call that fight with Max and Roy. And then Bob will take over and call the main event. Classy move by HBO. Nick did some work for HBO PPV (TVKO back then) years ago, but he is far more identified for his work on Showtime, which did not make such an offer. I spoke to Nick last Sunday and he was very excited about doing the fight and also excited about coming to AC and seeing so many of his boxing friends. I am looking forward to see him.

Showtime does not benefit from gate money. Showtime is interested in getting the best ratings and publicity it can -- in America, where it is. So to have a fight that it has a huge investment in overseas makes no sense for the network. It loses a lot of media attention and that means the public is less informed and leads to lower viewership. It wants the semis and finals in North America, which is what everyone signed on for. End of story.

A couple of years ago it seemed like Top Rank was really pushing Korobov as the next big thing, but he's largely drifted into the background since. Where do you see his career going?

Korobov has been a big disappointment that's why. So Top Rank is understanably not as excited about him as it once was. Doesn't mean he still can't become a quality contender, but he has developed much more slowly than they would have liked based on his massive amateur experience. Korobov's biggest problem, it seems, is the constant change in trainers and an overbearing father.

I was standing like 2 feet behind you filming with my camera as Martinez was being interviewed in the ring. Sergio has been a middleweight for barely a year and he is a small middleweight at that. If he wants to stay at middleweight (or possibly fight at 154 like he said he is willing to do) I have no issue with that whatsoever. Besides, the bigger names at 168 are not available to him anyway, so what's the point of moving up? Him moving up not does not impact his status as one of the top couple of fighters in the world.

Golden Boy would like to still put him on May 28 on HBO. The situation is with HBO's lawyers. They will look into it and see if they think Top Rank's claims have merit.
