That excites me. I'm also excited that my 6th Annual Dick Vitale Gala has sold out. We are dedicating the event to two youngsters Johnny Teis and Lucy Weber, both whom recently passed of cancer. We are donating grants in their names. We have a number of great people coming through. All Final Four coaches will be in attendance and we are honoring Kentucky Head Coach John Calipari and North Carolina Head Coach Roy Williams. Over 800 attendees are expected to attend this year. It's going to be a whoâ??s-who event. It's sold-out but if you want to still help you can go to www.dickvitaleonline.com for more info.

Where does IU stand next season with their recruiting class?
Dick Vitale (11:06 AM)
I think IU will turn the corner and the reason is Cody Zeller. He's a difference maker and a guy that can make the players around him better. I don't think you'll see the major changes that you'll see in the following year but next year will be a good one for the Hoosiers.
Dickie V BABY!!! Who, besides Sullinger, is more important to Ohio State's run for a championship next year: William Buford or Aaron Craft?
Dick Vitale (11:07 AM)
I think Aaron Craft is a vital part of Ohio State's success. The one thing he has to work on is knocking down the outside shot. If he can do that it will stretch out the defense and make it easier for his teammates to get good looks at the basket.
Chioke Hassan (Baltimore,Md)
Could you see P.J. Casrlesimo or Larry Brown taking over at George Mason?
Dick Vitale (11:09 AM)
They will be great choices but I don't think George Mason has the finances to get those big name guys. They would be a great choices but it would be a task baby to put that together.
Jeremy (Chicago, IL)
Loudest college basketball stadium, in your opinion?
Dick Vitale (11:10 AM)
You can make a case for a number of places but Duke's Cameron Indoor and the Rock Chalk at Kansas have a rowdy type of crowd. But it all depends on who you are playing, the caliber of the game and things like of that nature. With all those combined, you'll have a rocking time almost anywhere.
Hi im a big fan :) what are your thoughts on KU's basketball team next year since they are losing almost all of their starters thanks
Dick Vitale (11:12 AM)
You know the Jayhawks will find a way to reload. They don't rebuild, they rebuild. They will remain that team to beat in the Big XII. Somehow, someway they would put a quality team on the floor. I thought they would struggle this past season after losing multiple players to the NBA but they were one of America's top three teams all season long.
Michael (Ames, IA)
I saw recently you called Iowa State "Transfer U". What can we resonably expect from this team next year. Hilton Magic is dying to get back to the NCAA tourney.
Dick Vitale (11:14 AM)
Look at all the transfers that are coming into Iowa State. They have Lucious and Allen two former Michigan State players, as well as players from Minnesota, Penn State and SIU. They are getting a second chance, now the question is how can Coach Hoiberg blend these new guys and have the chemistry they need to win. You hope that these guys realize that it's not a me game, it's a team game.
With the Texas trio declaring and the Kentucky trio declaring, how big of a gap is there between UNC and "the rest"?
Dick Vitale (11:17 AM)
Texas is going to take a real bump after losing their trio Tristan Thompson, Jordan Hamilton and Cory Joseph. Kentucky is a different story. I think Liggins will come back after seeing that he needs college more than college needs him. I just talked to Calipari and he is excited with the No. 1 recruiting class coming in. They lost five guys to the NBA last year and came back to make the Final Four. Michael Gilchrist is a man, and Marcus Teague is going to me a major factor. I'm not changing my mind, I have UNC as preseason No. 1 and Kentucky at No. 2.
If the Heels stay healthy do u see another title coming back to Chapel Hill? If so how bad would a mass exodus hurt the Heels?
Dick Vitale (11:19 AM)
The Heels to me are flat out loaded. They have a NBA front court when it some to Zeller, Henson and Barnes. The key factor is Kendall Marshall at the point. They also have some key players coming in like James McAdoo and P.J. Hairston. I expect it to be a big big year in Chapel Hill.
Alex (Magnolia, DE)
What do you think about Kyrie Irving going to the NBA?
Dick Vitale (11:20 AM)
Kyrie is going to be a star, he has a star written all over him. He is certainly a top three pick. I would have liked to see him come back to college but his stock is just so right right now.
Tony (Richmond, CA)
What do you think about the UNC-MICH ST Aircraft Carrier Classic? Should be interesting.
Dick Vitale (11:23 AM)
It should be a lot of fun. I was just assigned that game which will be played on 11-11-11, Veterans Day. I was told that only 100 tickets will go to each school and the rest will go to military families. This will kick off my 33rd year here at ESPN. and I'm so excited to have this game on my schedule. It's going to be great seeing a preseason top-10 team and a Michigan State team that is looking to rebuild after a disappointing 2010-11 season. O tell you, this is going to be a great game!
Hey Dick with a solid recruiting class and a returning class of peyton siva, kyle kuric, and a lot more talent, is Rick Pitino on his way to another championship?
Dick Vitale (11:25 AM)
They exceeded expectations last year but ran into a buzzsaw in Morehead State in the NCAA tournament. But the Cardinals are looking good for next season. They have a top-10 recruiting class coming and along with their returning players, the Cardinals are looking good baby. Pitino is also reuniting with his son Richard who coming back to Louisville as an assistant coach. This will be and exciting year in Louisville.
Kaney (Elliott, MN)
Where do you see the Gophers finishing in the Big 10? And if Mbakwe develops a mid-range jumper like NBA scouts are hoping he does, and Joe Coleman or Andre Hollins fill in the well needed PG role how far could they make a run?
Dick Vitale (11:26 AM)
The Gophers had some real troubles last season but injuries and transfers really hurt them. They have some key players returning and good size. I think they will be in the Big Ten mix and a NCAA tournament bid should be in their grasp this season.
Ray A. (San Francisco, CA)
There is a prospect in the 2012 Class named Isaiah Austin and he is currently committed to Baylor. He is 7 feet tall, can hit the three, blocks shots......have you heard of this kid before Mr. Vitale?
Dick Vitale (11:28 AM)
Right now I'm doing all my "long term" planning. That's where I get to know all the up and coming stars and if he's as good as you say he is, I'll hear about him soon.
Danny (New York)
Can you see Jeremy Lamb being a top 5 player next year?
Dick Vitale (11:28 AM)
I think he's going to have a big year. I see him being a major scorer for the Huskies.
Do you see Sean Miller and the Cats as a powerhouse again?
Dick Vitale (11:29 AM)
I look for Arizona to be a powerhouse on a regular basis like they were in the Lute Olson days. Arizona is in good hands with Sean Miller. I think they will be the head of the class in the Pac-10.
Dick Vitale (11:33 AM)
We are in the NBA playoffs now. And what I like about the NBA playoffs is that it has a college atmosphere. Fans are excited. If you are a Grizzlies fan, I will be a little bit worried. They let Game 5 get away from them and they must win at home in Game 6 or the Spurs will finish them out at home in Game 7. Now to the series everyone has been waiting for ...the Celtics and the Heat. Will LeBron be a champ or a chump is the question on everyone's mind because anything less than cutting the nets down will be considered a lack of a successful year after all that hype over the summer.
