Welcome to SportsNation! On Thursday, long time TV host Jerry Springer stops by to chat about his New York Yankees and the 20th anniversary season of "The Jerry Springer Show."

Springer, who also hosts "Baggage" on GSN, was involved in politics before changing careers to broadcasting. He served as a campaign advisor to Robert Kennedy before serving on the Cincinnati City Council and for one year as the city's mayor.

He was born in a London subway station used as a bomb shelter during World War II and came to the United States in 1949.
