What has been your most satisfying round win and most disappointing round loss to this point?

Most disappointing loss would have to be against my teammate Robert Hight in Topeka. We had a consistent race car. I felt good. He was able to get around me and get the win. I thought we had it. I thought we could go all the way. My brother in law beats me. My biggest round win, would probably be my first ever, my first race out of the season. That was huge. My first round matchup, I didn't expect to go to the next round. It was my first FC race, I didn't expect it. It was a good surprise. A good kickoff.

Probably traveling. And the fact that I get to be out there with my family and compete against my dad and go out to dinner and tell him how I beat him. The coolest part is I have a job that I can talk to my whole family about and they understand it. They're a part of it.

Normally, we're just doing media. I'm doing media for the upcoming race, or writing blogs and closing out the race from the week before. And different track stats to learn for the next year's race. Unpacking, doing laundry and repacking.

Did you feel pressure to be a driver for a career choice? Did you always want to be a driver?

Never felt pressured. Not at all. If anything, I pressured my dad. I knew at a young age, probalby 7, that I wanted to be a driver. I just loved the sport of NHRA. I knew that I wanted to be a part of it and race a 300 MPH race car. Unbelievable that a car can go that fast. You have to be on your game at all times. All of those pieces make it a great sport.

With such an awesome job that you have driving a FC and your father who can be a tough cookie... does this intimidate guys when it comes to dating?!

A little bit. When I meet a guy, the first thing is to not tell them. I try to avoid telling them I'm a race car driver. I don't think that's a big hot point. It's mostly a male dominated sport. I try to avoid that question. When someone finds out that he's my dad. He's definitely rough on the guys I introduce him to.

Hopefully any of them. I don't think there's any track in particular that's better than the rest. It's not like it's better we're running in the heat or cool air. I don't think the weather matters. We have a consistent race car. If you can stay consistent, hopefully you can come out on top.

when was the first time that you drove a funny car

The first time I drove a Funny Car was in West Palm Beach, Fla. Before that, my dad had me towing around a car in our shop. That first run was really amazing. THe first time I hit the throttle and I threw back in the seat, it was a lot to take in. I knew at the right moment that if I could hit the throttle and it didn't scare me off, I definitely wanted to do it.

Definitely. She was a huge person in being my mentor in transitioning. She knew what it was like going into Funny Car. She helped me with the differences and the challenges I would have to go with. It really helped that she was there to help me with different pieces of advice, especially in how to deal with my dad.

I try to not have too many. I don't want it to screw me up if I forget something. I have a routine that I put my gear on, it has to go the same way. I don't know why.

Stressful. He's been a lot to handle, but he's been great. I wouldn't ask for anyone else to coach me through it. He's trying to be a boss and a father and sometimes he doesn't know where to draw the line. It's information coming at me 24/7. I'm learing to be just like that. That's what it takes in order to win.

What is the biggest challenge for you on coming to the big leagues of the NHRA?

The biggest challenge has been figuring out this Funny Car. Every run has to be perfect. I really have to think on my feet. I have to learn to not question myself. Little mistakes that I've made like staying in the throttle too long. But you can only learn if you make mistakes. It's been a challenge, but it's going good. I'm up for it.

It seems you were destined to this path in life. But if you were not the "Most Likely To Drive A Funny Car " daughter, What other dreams and aspirations have you had that might of led you to alternate heights or goals?

Honestly, I don't have a backup plan. This was kind of it for me. I think one way or another, I was going to be led to NHRA drag racing. I just love being a part of it and being out there with my family. I went to college and I got my degree to have that as a backup, but if I wasn't going to be a driver, I would at least want to work in the industry of motorsports.

My sister Brittany, she's actually testing in the Top Fuel this season. That's a possibility. I think that would be awesome to have a Team Force car in those ranks, but I don't think it's been decided.

I try to talk her into it all of the time. I don't have to talk her into it, it's a matter of when. I want to compete against her. I talk all of the time how fun it would be to race against her. Hopefully, it's only a matter of time. Right now she's busy with being a mom.

Was having a replica funny car with your name a dream of yours or just a cool perk?

If you're referring to the Traxxas car, that's definitely a perk. I'm so used to seeing my dad's name on everything, it's crazy to see my name on the side of the box. It's great for the fans and I think having a replica of a Funny Car kind of goes hand in hand with what they do.

I would love to know how you feel generally about the mechanical aspects of Drag Racing. I, personally would love to drive a fuel funny car just once to feel the experience but truth be known I get excited about what has to happen to get a car to go from a standing start to over 300mph in a few seconds.

It's definitely an adrenaline rush as a driver. I have to have all of the faith in the world in my team that mechanically everything is going to work right on every single pass. They have to take apart this motor in just over an hour. They can't make mistakes. That's huge to have a team that you trust in and to get out there and go rounds. That's the only thing that you can do to feel comfortable in your car.

Of all the places you have raced so far, what track has been your favorite?

So far this season, I definitley think Charlotte, NC, Bruton Smith has built an amazing track. It's the only track with four lanes. It makes it for a fun place to race. It's brand new and it's huge. It's fun as a driver to go to something you don't see all of the time.
