Eric Karabell (3:00 PM)
Hello all and welcome to the latest fantasy sports chat session! I am Eric, we've got fantasy football and perhaps baseball to talk about today, and only an hour to do so, let's get it started. Thanks for showing up...here we go!
Kyle (Lincoln, NE)
Why is there so much hate for 30 year old Michael Turner, yet no one is saying much about Fred Jackson who is 31. Who would you take between the two?
Eric Karabell (3:02 PM)
I have Turner firmly in the third round, and 12 spots better than Jackson. I don't think it's solely about age, personally, but career workload. That said, I find it hard to believe that Turner, who was the No. 5 RB last season, will all of a sudden go over the cliff and stink this season. So I'll draft him.
Rod (El Paso)
It's been great to see Adam Wainwright and Matt Moore put it together over the last month. Do you see Cliff Lee and Jon Lester improving over the rest of the season?
Eric Karabell (3:03 PM)
Lee really hasn't been bad, but he just can't win games. It's not all his fault, or the team's. Been some bad luck. I'd rely on Lee over Lester at this point, but both should be used in all leagues. And yes, I was so high on Moore in March, nice to see it working out.
Goldberg (ATL)
Top running back handcuffs to target?
Eric Karabell (3:05 PM)
Certainly Ben Tate is No. 1 on the list, but Toby Gerhart, Rashad Jennings and Peyton Hillis should be kept in mind.
Steve (IND)
EK! Brett Anderson.....legit?
Eric Karabell (3:06 PM)
Absolutely legit. Anderson was having a nice 2011 season until the very end, which kind of sullied his final ERA. But he's never really been bad and he's got that home ballpark. By the way, farewell to Big Bartolo Colon. Ridiculous.
Joe (Philadelphia)
With Colon gone, does Straily get called back up to the rotation?
Eric Karabell (3:07 PM)
One would assume so, and I like Straily to be successful. But A's do have other options, though not as enticing for fantasy, like Blackley and Tyson Ross.
David (Vegas)
Bailey or Storen? who gets more saves? Does Clippard lose his job? he's been mostly lights out.
Eric Karabell (3:08 PM)
I don't see saves in either one of their futures. Clippard continues to excel and Davey Johnson isn't going to mess with that success. Boston is a bit different, but again, Aceves is doing fine and I don't think Valentine would switch things when the season is going nowhere. It's not like the Sox need to see what Bailey can do. He has a career 2.07 ERA.
Kevin (Boise)
Can keep two out of McCoy, Megatron, and Newton. Who do I let go?
Eric Karabell (3:09 PM)
I'd let the quarterback go there every time. In fact, I'd keep McCoy and Calvin over EVERY QB in the league, but that's just me.
John (Cali)
Hey Ek - what are your thoughts on the sb machine Billy Hamilton? Is he getting called up in September? How do you like him as a keeper this year?
Eric Karabell (3:10 PM)
I think it's possible the Reds call him up, but I doubt he plays enough to factor for fantasy. He could pinch run occasionally.. but he wouldn't hit much or play the field. He's fast. Not sure he can hit enough though. As for keeper purposes, the Reds have a shortstop and second baseman and even a center fielder. I don't think Hamilton makes the 2013 Reds.
Dan (Queens)
With his presumed return this weekend, what's your feeling on Jose Bautista the rest of the way? I'm in the last week of my H2H league, with 3 weeks of playoffs to follow. Is he going to help me out?
Eric Karabell (3:11 PM)
I would assume the Blue Jays would be smart enough to not activate Bautista unless he was absolutely healthy and ready to hit. So I trust him. He's signed for years and the team is in last... no reason to play him unless they are confident.
Jeff (NY)
What are your thoughts on David Wilson as a later round RB? Bradshaw ALWAYS seems to get hurt.
Eric Karabell (3:12 PM)
Seems to me Bradshaw always plays while he's hurt, though. Wilson in round 9 or 10 is fine. Natural handcuff, but I think Bradshaw will play well.
Dan (Dalton, MA)
Do you think the Orioles send Macho Manny Machado to the minors next year to start the season regardless of how he performs this year or is he likely up for good?
Eric Karabell (3:12 PM)
I think he's their opening day third baseman, unless they trade J.J. Hardy, which is possible. He's up for good and next year he should be very good.
Drew (Williamsport)
Keep 3: Shady, DeMarco, Stafford? Still going with both RB's?
Eric Karabell (3:13 PM)
Not a big fan of DeMarco, but he made my top 10 RB out of desperation. Yep, the RBs.
Justin (Wilkes-Barre)
Hey EK, great work and thanks! Any updates on Bonifacio? With the injuries and it being his knee this time, is he droppable?
Eric Karabell (3:14 PM)
He is droppable, but if this isn't a serious injury and he starts running wild this weekend, how will you feel? I don't think he's brittle. Just some bad luck.
Hell's Karabells (New York)
(Sorry, I played with you in an Ultimate League once and thought this may be a cheap way to get read) Who to keep? CJ Spiller or Torrey Smith. Can take either in LAST rd. 10 team .5 ppr league and I don't have a 1st or 6th rd pick this year.
Eric Karabell (3:15 PM)
Reveal your true identity! I apparently like Smith a lot and have him ranked considerably better, but the PPR part changes my opinion there to Spiller.
J.P. (Toronto)
Will Travis Snider be a 30 HR sleeper in 2013 with the Pirates likely to give him the 500+ at bats he deserves?
Eric Karabell (3:16 PM)
Thirty home runs is a lot. I'd say he plays regularly and hits 25, but with a .250 average or so. He's probably not going to be a fantasy monster.
Rex Ryan (New Jersey)
Great news, Eric! I have just been named commissioner of your fantasy football league. My only rule is that everyone must take ONE offensive player from the Jets. So many awesome players to choose from.. so who are you taking and in which round?
Eric Karabell (3:17 PM)
Ugh. That would be a deal breaker. Honestly, there's nothing wrong with Shonn Greene as a RB3 or flex choice. He should get 1,000 yards and 4 or 5 scores, even with that former Broncos QB around. I'd go Greene over Holmes and the QBs.
Joe (NY)
Since you dont draft QBs in he early rounds, which QBs are you usually targeting in the middle to later rounds?
Eric Karabell (3:17 PM)
I got Romo in an auction draft last night for $9. I think Brady was $45. The Mannings were high teens. I'd say Romo, Roethlisberger, Ryan and Rivers are being forgotten. Watch 9 people take a QB in a 10-team league and take the next guy an hour later. Works every time.
Drew (Williamsport)
Have you ever done a NFC/AFC only league? I know they exist in MLB but I've never seen a NFL one.
Eric Karabell (3:18 PM)
Haven't done so in years but I know they exist. In fact, I once saw an NFC East only league. Not a lot of teams.
Dolph (Ohio)
I think Matt Ryan is going to have a great season. 4,000 yards and 30 TD seem strongly attainable. But with that said, that is the absolute basement on guys like Tom Brady and Drew Brees. What's wrong with being strong at that poistion?
Eric Karabell (3:19 PM)
Who said it was wrong to be strong at QB? We'd all love to be. I just don't want LeGarrette Blount as my first running back. I know there are some great QBs out there and I don't doubt any of them (Newton somewhat), but I fill RB/WR early. It's so ridiculously easy to get a good QB in round 6.
Jim (Memphis)
With Vick's question marks could you se McCoy being the #1 RB this year?
Eric Karabell (3:20 PM)
Vick has no more question marks today than he did a month ago. None of this should surprise us. He's been brittle for a decade, not just lately. I have no concerns about McCoy no matter who the QB is, frankly.
Nate (Atlanta)
Aren't you concerned about Romo's health with that o-line?
Eric Karabell (3:20 PM)
Nope. What, do you think the other teams have strong o-lines? Plus, that doesn't mean a QB will get hurt.
The Real Gilbert N. (Asheville, NC)
Does your view of QB's change when passing TDs are worth 6 points?
Eric Karabell (3:21 PM)
Nope. Not sure why that changes anything. It's still about value, and supply and demand. We all need one QB to play weekly.. and in a 10-team league there are, by my count, 13 reasonable choices. There aren't even 13 reasonable RB starters and you can play 3 of them!
Dolph (Ohio)
You say you slightly doubt Cam Newton will be "elite." Why?
Eric Karabell (3:21 PM)
When his 14 rushing touchdowns drop by 10, you'll see the problem. And it's not like he's a great or safe passer. Still rank him well, but I won't be getting the guy.
Blaire (Survivor)
I drafted Vick on Monday right before he got hit in the NE game. He was my "sleeper" pick as he could perform like a first-rounder. But now I am scared. Drafted Matt Ryan too, as he was the only decent QB on the board. As you know, they both share the same bye week. Any idea what I should do now?
Eric Karabell (3:22 PM)
Nothing. A healthy Vick should be productive, but you knew he'd miss games. And Ryan will not. That's a good tandem to have. I don't understand why Vick owners are suddenly surprised that he's getting hurt. He's always hurt.
Nate (Atlanta)
It does increase the chances of him getting hurt! isnt a big part of it managing risk?
Eric Karabell (3:23 PM)
We have no idea if the Cowboys will be so bad on the line that Romo's chances of injury are worse. QBs get hurt all the time, even behind seemingly elite lines. Has no bearing.
Adam (Springfield)
Fred Jackson as a keeper worth $24 in a 12-team, 2-QB league? He'd be my second keeper (Jordy Nelson for $2!) but I don't have any other options.
Eric Karabell (3:23 PM)
It's a lot of money, but I've seen worse.
Wally (Texas)
Is Jose Reyes your #1 SS for 2013?
Eric Karabell (3:24 PM)
No, it will be Tulowitzki. And easily.
Dan (Costa Mesa, CA)
Drop Lawrie? Could use a spot (CC, Morrow, Street)
Eric Karabell (3:24 PM)
I think people are overexaggerating how disappointing Brett Lawrie has been. Unless the Jays shut him down, I'd keep him owned.
Josh (Denver)
What is your favorite type of draft and favorite style of fantasy football? e.g 2-qb, ppr
Eric Karabell (3:25 PM)
I'm fine with anything, standard, large leagues, 2-QB, PPR, doesn't matter. I will say auctions, while they take longer, are totally worth it. I got 2 consensus first-rounders in our mock auction last night - should be posted tomorrow - and still have other strong starters.
James (San Diego)
Do your views on taking a QB 1st round change if I have the 10/11 picks in a PPR, 6 pt per TD qb league where Foster and McCoy are being kept in later rounds already?
Eric Karabell (3:27 PM)
Nope. Still gotta fill at least 3 reasonable running backs on your team. It's nothing against Aaron Rodgers or those that make him the first pick. He is awesome. I just can't stand having no choice but to start someone like Ced Benson every single week. I'd rather a Romo/Rivers plus top RB combo.
Drew (Williamsport)
Are you okay with choosing between DWill and Stevie Johnson for flex spot or would you try to upgrade there? Are those two packaged enough to get Brandon LLoyd or Mike Wallace?
Eric Karabell (3:27 PM)
That's fine, though I'm no fan of DeAngelo Williams. S.Johnson is a worthy flex most weeks. And Wallace is the guy to target, but that's a hefty price.
Z (DE)
The reason a qb should be worth more in a 6pt pass td league is because there is more spread between a quarterback who throws 40tds and a qb who throws 20 tds
Eric Karabell (3:28 PM)
You're assuming these guys throw for 5,000 yards and 45 touchdowns again, which basically had happened like twice in history. I go with history on this one.
Franklin (South Side)
Would I be crazy to take Roddy White and if Julio Jones fell to me later take him as well? It's in a 10 team ppr league.
Eric Karabell (3:29 PM)
Not at all. Each will be productive, so why shy away because they are teammates. I am careful about too many players from one team, because the week they get shutout, you're in trouble, but two potential top-10 WRs... that's ok. Just don't draft Matt Ryan and Turner and Tony G as well.
Jay (DC)
Need a fill in until Votto comes back - Rizzo, Frazier or Colvin?
Eric Karabell (3:29 PM)
He's been out a while already. What are you waiting for? Frazier is terrific, should be owned in ALL leagues by now.
Keith (VA)
Dalton or Freeman this year?
Eric Karabell (3:30 PM)
Freeman. I don't think Dalton will get any better, but Freeman has already proven he can be top-10.
Adam (NYC)
what's your thoughts on filling all your starting spots (except def/k obv) before filling your bench?
Eric Karabell (3:30 PM)
It's based on value and what's out there. I wait on QB and TE and probably have 8 combined RB/WRs by round 11...
CAM (Chicago)
What are your thoughts on Kendall Hunter? As a reluctant Gore owner, should I have Hunter on the bench?
Eric Karabell (3:31 PM)
Not a terrible idea, but that's presuming the backup will be successful, which in most cases is not true. But if Gore gets hurt you'd want his backup, in theory.
Drew (Williamsport)
Drafted Witten in the 10th and Celek in the 12th, should be fine between the two of them, right?
Eric Karabell (3:32 PM)
I think Celek will play in Week 1. I doubt Witten does. But yeah, that's a reasonable tandem.
Stallone (Hollywood)
Eric help me out...I am in a dynasty league with my expendables cast mates....Im looking at Cole or Taillon and who do you project to have the better stuff
Eric Karabell (3:32 PM)
Well, stuff is somewhat irrelevant. Each should be terrific. I'd take Cole, but don't expect big numbers in 2013.
David (DC)
I was mocked endlessly for drafting Rivers with the 40th pick in my 12 teamer ahead of the Mannings. Am I the only one who can forget last year?
Eric Karabell (3:33 PM)
I wouldn't have taken him that high based on what his value is, but what do you care who mocks you? They don't mock the winner, do they? I agree that Rivers is way underrated... why do people assume he's gonna throw 20 picks again? He's averaged 4,400 yards and 30 TDs over 4 years.
Tommy (Boston)
I can only make one more pitching move this year!! Is Anibal Sanchez or Doubront a better option to replace Colon???
Eric Karabell (3:34 PM)
Ugh. It's not Doubront.
Chris (Largo, FL)
Steve Smith, Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Johnson and Vincent Jackson. Can I win with that?
Eric Karabell (3:34 PM)
I'd recommend a QB and a few running backs to go with them, but sure. It's a nice crew.
RBs (C-Town)
With the shortage of RB options this year, what would you consider a strong 1-2 punch at the position?
Eric Karabell (3:35 PM)
Strong? Two top-10 running backs would be strong.
Drew (Williamsport)
20tm league, I don't know where I pick yet, but can you give me any basic strategy tip?
Eric Karabell (3:35 PM)
In that deep a league I'd be more wary of injury prone options, or those that could fall of a cliff. I'd want a safe QB and a few safe RB/WRs just in case, because free agency is non existent there.
Brandon (RI)
Got some poor keeper candidates in a 12 team PPR. I'm leaning Welker and Jennings. Are Bradshaw, Gore, or P. Manning better options?
Eric Karabell (3:36 PM)
How is that poor? They're probably top-5 WR options in PPR.
Jim (Memphis)
Do you have opinion on a week 1 survivor league pick?
Eric Karabell (3:37 PM)
Haven't really studied it yet, but on first glance, and leaving the top teams for later in the season, I'd say Bears or Eagles.
Ben Tate (Houston)
When should Arian Foster owners look to draft me? Is 5th round too early?
Eric Karabell (3:38 PM)
Not at all. He's good and we know he can step in if needed. And ultimately, if you want a guy, going a round or two ahead of what mocks and rankings say is fine. Get the guy you want. Don't pick him in round 2, but you get the picture.
Tom (Bath)
Any thoughts on maybe Donald Brown being undervalued, especially in PPR leagues?
Eric Karabell (3:39 PM)
Wasn't really asked to catch passes his first few seasons, but that's gonna change. I'm probably gonna move Brown up in my rankings soon. The Colts will move the ball and score points. They'll just allow more, which is fine for us.
Steve (Portland)
Do you see Profar in the opening day lineup for the Rangers next year or will we not see him until June/July?
Eric Karabell (3:39 PM)
I doubt he's in the bigs next April. Rangers have depth everywhere and no reason to move Andrus yet.
Miz (Cleveland)
Ced Ben - 800 yards and 8 TD?
Eric Karabell (3:40 PM)
I'd say maybe 6 scores, but yeah, totally reasonable. Starks just isn't that good.
Chad (Florida)
Any thoughts on Mikel Leshoure. If he performs well will that hurt Kevin Smiths value at all
Eric Karabell (3:40 PM)
I expect Smith to play in September but get hurt in time for Leshoure to get off suspension and then it gets interesting. And Best is back in what,Week 7. What a mess.
Josh (Chicago)
EK - What are the chances that HanRam retains his SS eligibility for next season?
Eric Karabell (3:41 PM)
Needs one more game. I'd say excellent chance.
Jeff (Portland, ME)
Ian Desmond looks to be rounding into form. Do you believe he'll pick up where he left off?
Eric Karabell (3:41 PM)
Has homered the last two days. No concerns. What a year.
Drew (Williamsport)
When you do your mock drafts and real drafts at ESPN, are they mostly live or online? Who are the biggest smack talkers? It's THC right?
Eric Karabell (3:42 PM)
Mocks are always online, and there isn't a ton of trash talking by anyone. But we do take them seriously. Last night's auction took 3 hours. That's dedication!
Gene (CHicago)
With his recent trade request news, how early do you have to grab MJD's handcuff, Jennings.
Eric Karabell (3:42 PM)
I'm still not that concerned. This is standard posturing stuff. It will be fine by Week 1.
Gregg (Boston)
Cedric Benson will score more than that! C'mon, Rogers will get them inside the 10 yard line on many occasions, opening the door for Benson to plow through to the end zone. 10-12 TDs and maybe only 600 yards?
Eric Karabell (3:43 PM)
That's optimistic, especially since Benson generally plows into his offensive linemen no matter where he is. But go for it!
tim (dallas)
Keep dez and lose a 3rd or keep matthews and lose a 2nd? Already keeping Gronk(14th)
Eric Karabell (3:44 PM)
Neither is great value for the spot, but Mathews, even with his injury, is safer. Says a lot.
Mitch (MD)
Any word on an IP limit for Mike Minor? He's great but I'm locked in my playoff spot so I'd rather have someone that is going to be there to help me in a few weeks. I could grab Brett Anderson
Eric Karabell (3:45 PM)
I like Anderson more but the A's will be cautious with him as well. I have not heard Minor will be shut down, but it could happen soon since they have 6 starters.
danny (ronkonkoma, ny)
no shot joey bautista starts next year with 3b eligibility, correct?
Eric Karabell (3:46 PM)
That ship has sailed. Even if Lawrie is done, and he's not, I doubt they'd move Joey Bats back to 3B for a month.
John (Los Angeles)
MJD follow-up to clarify, so no concerns yet about potential effects of his missing training camp (see Johnson, Chris, 2011)?
Eric Karabell (3:46 PM)
None whatsoever. Just because one guy comes in outta shape doesn't mean the next guy will.
Scott (Northglenn, CO)
Luck look good to you or overreaction to preseason? Rather have him or Carson as your QB2?
Eric Karabell (3:46 PM)
I don't think it's overreaction. Certainly Luck is more dangerous, but has more upside.
Jim (NY)
Any update on Mathews and his injury how is he progressing, also Witten?
Eric Karabell (3:47 PM)
No, haven't heard anything. The teams don't know yet. I expect each to miss at least one week though.
Don (Portland)
Keep Jordy for a 3rd or Decker for a 9th in 16 team standard? thanks EK.
Eric Karabell (3:47 PM)
Hmmm... Decker makes sense there.
Jerry (Lebanon, OH)
Will BJGE hit 1200 yards and 8 TD's?
Eric Karabell (3:48 PM)
Seems optimistic as well, but he's the only game in town at running back.
Katie (Utah)
Haren, Medlen, Minor, Corbin rank ROS
Eric Karabell (3:48 PM)
Well, I'm ready to vault Medlen over a clearly hurt Haren now. Medlen, Haren, Minor, Corbin.
Jon KK (Elkhart, Ind.)
Re interesting league configurations: I'm in a baseball league with a bunch of midwesterners. Only use the teams from the two Central divisions.
Eric Karabell (3:49 PM)
Love it. Wish I was in a league with the East teams!
TK (Philly)
Stop it with the baseball questions!! It's Fantasy Football season baby!!!
Eric Karabell (3:49 PM)
Stop it with the whining! I can only answer what is asked!
Matt (DC)
Non PPR keeper, keep A.Brown at WR or S.Greene at RB
Eric Karabell (3:49 PM)
Brown. Like his future and impact more.
danny (ronkonkoma, ny)
garcon worth keeping for $7 in a 12 team keeper league with a $200 budget
Eric Karabell (3:50 PM)
Yeah, he should earn that even while being his normally inconsistent self.
Billy (KC)
Is there any major difference between Arian Foster and Ray Rice in a .5 ppr? I'm having a tough time deciding who to take 1st overall.
Eric Karabell (3:50 PM)
Not a big diff. If anything, one can argue Rice has less competition.
Jon (Atlanta)
Would you use Medlen tonight though?
Eric Karabell (3:50 PM)
His ERA is like 1.30 the last month. I'd use him every night.
Ziggler (Hollywood)
Adrian Peterson a late first round draft pick by the time the season starts?
Eric Karabell (3:51 PM)
Too risky for me. More like third round. He's not going to play the next 2 weeks, so what is really changing?
Joe (NY)
What are your thoughts on Jared Cook as a later round tight end?Locker could be lookin his way a bunch
Eric Karabell (3:51 PM)
Love it. Not in top 10, but soon after. And any Titans QB would look his way.
Gabe (PDX)
The QB situation changes when you're in a 2QB league right? Those top 5 guys become much more valuable right?
Eric Karabell (3:52 PM)
Yes, that changes things. Though in my 2-QB mock I ended up with Roethlisberger and Schaub... but I also took Foster first overall, so I couldn't get a top5 QB.
john (mass)
EK Tell TK it's only "Fantasy Football season" for the Losers of fantasy Baseball!!!!
Eric Karabell (3:52 PM)
There's your trash talk...
Drew (Williamsport)
Not a fantasy question but... How far are our Birds going this year? And what are your thoughts on Big Red and Cullen Jenkins?
Eric Karabell (3:53 PM)
I'm thinking 10-6, NFC East title, and one playoff win. Hoping for more of course. And I love the passion from Andy Reid... it's like he knows this team can be very good, so let's change the attitude and start September quickly for once.
Scott (Northglenn, CO)
Rather have Ryan Williams over Beanie at their current ADPs right?
Eric Karabell (3:53 PM)
On value alone yes. But Beanie is the starter when healthy.
Pete (Pittsburgh)
Concerns about Big Ben and his Big Rotator Cuff Tear?
Eric Karabell (3:53 PM)
Nope. He can still make the throws.
Josh (Chicago)
Lucroy has 6 ribbies in 2 games and a 4 game hit streak. How are the Brewers better with him on the bench today?
Eric Karabell (3:54 PM)
That's not why catchers sit from time to time. It's a demanding position. And they're going nowhere.
Tim (WI)
Best bet for SB's for ROS - Raji Davis, Pierre, Dee Gordon?
Eric Karabell (3:54 PM)
In that order.
Dan (Boston)
Can you rank the following keepers: Rizzo, Machado, J.Montero, A.Reed, and Yu Darvish?
Eric Karabell (3:55 PM)
Machado first, then the catcher Montero, then Rizzo. Pitchers always last, especially closers or those with a 1.44 WHIP.
Steve (Portland)
Fantasy football is all luck. We spend all this time trying to speculate based on matchups or scheme but at the end of the day luck seems to prevail from the fantasy perspective.
Eric Karabell (3:55 PM)
Well there you go.
Prince Fielder (Detroit)
How much do you like Ryan Braun!!!!!!!!!Just went yard.
Eric Karabell (3:56 PM)
Was my No. 1 player in March. Feeling justified.
Nick (Northbrook)
Is McCann droppable? Hate to say it, but looks like I should fleece myself of that pudgy fella...
Eric Karabell (3:56 PM)
If you can get a better catcher, of course.
Chris (Largo, FL)
How does Berry feel about Vick right now?
Eric Karabell (3:56 PM)
You have to ask him. But I'm guessing nothing that has happened in August plays a significant role. Nobody is surprised Vick is brittle.
Sam (Cincy)
Machado a top 7 3b in 2013?
Eric Karabell (3:57 PM)
No, that's premature.
Dan (MA)
Are either Pineda or Beachy worth holding onto int a keeper league where you can only keep 5 players?
Eric Karabell (3:57 PM)
Nope.
Robert (Cinci)
Pick one: BJGE as RB2 or Stevie Johnson as WR2?
Eric Karabell (3:57 PM)
Ugh. Unfortunately with WR depth being great, the RB there.
Ryan (NYC)
Fantasy baseball requires more skill to win than fantasy football: true or false?
Eric Karabell (3:58 PM)
Skill? We're not the ones hitting the home runs or scoring touchdowns... but I see your point. True.
Chris (Largo, FL)
Well Steve from Portland, I will take Cam Newton and Calvin Johnson and you take Blaine Gabbert and Chad Ochocinco and we'll see how good luck is.
Eric Karabell (3:58 PM)
Love it.
Anthony (Cali)
Pick one: Eli as QB1 or Maclin as WR1?
Eric Karabell (3:58 PM)
Eli in theory.
Scott (Northglenn, CO)
If you have Rice as your RB1, would you rather gamble on top 5 ability in Mathews, or go rock solid with Sjax?
Eric Karabell (3:58 PM)
Doesn't matter if I have Rice, I'd go Mathews.
Frank (Baltimore)
CJ Wilson, droppable?
Eric Karabell (3:59 PM)
If you wanna win now, probably.
danny (ronkonkoma, ny)
lawrie a top 7 3b in 2013?
Eric Karabell (3:59 PM)
Yes.
Joe (NY)
Do you think Demaryius Thomas has a shot a top 10 WR?
Eric Karabell (3:59 PM)
I do. But I wouldn't expect it.
Buck (Oregon)
You're crazy. Football is way more unpredictable.
Eric Karabell (3:59 PM)
I think that's the point.
Eric Karabell (4:00 PM)
Well, it's the 4 o'clock hour and my time is up. I thank you for the many questions and ophe I got to yours. Have a great draft and enjoy your weekend and best of luck!
