If USC wins every game except against Oregon twice does that make the ducks schedule tougher then k-states?
Brandon Oliver (4:05 PM)
Unfortunately, it all depends on other teams and what they do. If Stanford only loses to Oregon State from here on out -- and the Beavers are undefeated going into the Civil War, the Ducks would probably have the better profile after the Pac 12 title game
Chris Leonchik (Illinois)
Why does oregon keep slipping in the polls?
Brandon Oliver (4:08 PM)
The computers are hurting them right now. No matter what they do on the field, their schedule to this point has hurt them. The Ducks have knocked three teams out of the rankings, including a road win against Arizona State, where the Ducks had 48 passing yards and still won by a huge margin. The schedule gets much tougher while Florida still plays an FCS school and Louisiana-Lafayette. They will drop a slight bit in the computers. Kansas State is the wild card, but they have some tough games left too

Hi brandon, dthomas is good player no doubt, and i like him but at this point i feel kbarn should be getting more heisman prop.
Brandon Oliver (4:09 PM)
The Black Mamba has fallen off a bit with his production in recent weeks, while Barner has stepped up.Barner has a chance to make a big push if he has big games against USC, Stanford and Oregon State. All will be high profile games and the Ducks running game will be key in all of them.
Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)
What College Football Players who are Playing at Oregon will play in the NFL in 2013?
Brandon Oliver (4:15 PM)
Kenjon Barner and Dion Jordan are shoes-ins. Kiko Alonso and Michael Clay should join them. If healthy, John Boyett will make a roster if he doesn't get drafted. Potentially Carson York too, if he is able to recover from his knee injuries.Jackson Rice has a shot too
Aaron S. (Portland, OR)
If Notre Dame and Alabama win out, are there ANY possible scenarios in which Oregon ends up in the BCS title game? Possibly a win over a top-5 Oregon State team in the Civil War?
Brandon Oliver (4:22 PM)
SEC vs Notre Dame is the NCAA's dream, the BCS's dream, the TV network's dream. There is absolutely no way the Ducks get in if Notre Dame beats Oklahoma and USC.The Ducks could beat USC, Stanford could beat Oregon State and move into the top 10, the Ducks could then beat a top-10 Stanford squad, then beat a 1-loss, top-10 Beavers team, then beat a 2-loss, top-10-15 USC or UCLA team in the P12 title game -- and they would still be left out.Notre Dame has too big of a draw and too much money connected to it for that to ever happen. It would be a shame for the Ducks to be #2 in all polls and be 13-0, having beaten 7 teams that were ranked at the time they played them -- but if Notre Dame wins at Oklahoma and USC. a case can be made for them even without the outside influences of ratings and money...Of course, if they beat both of them, Oklahoma and USC would drop in the polls, making their wins less impressive in the end. It's gonna be a wild ride in the last 6 weeks of the season!
James (Tualatin, Oregon)
Leon McQuay visiting this weekend what are the chances Oregon has to land him? And if they gauge he isn't that serious in them then does that mean they offer Gareon Conley right away?
Brandon Oliver (4:26 PM)
The odds are fairly low, but he is bringing his parents with him. He nearly committed to USC this summer, so distance is not an issue here.It all depends on comfort level and how he feels about the music program in Eugene. They are behind the 8-ball, but visits can change a lot in a hurry.Conley would likely get an offer once they determine McQuay is out of play -- and after he de-commits from Michigan. If the Ducks offer, Conley would likely jump on the offer, despite the fact he just received the coveted Ohio State offer
If Oregon were playing in the SEC, how will they stack up against the SEC's elite?
Brandon Oliver (4:39 PM)
The great and never ending debate...If people would look objectively at the situation, the Ducks would handle themselves nicely.Would they score 50 points a game? No. This year, they would likely score 40-50 on Tennessee, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Vandy, Miss St(in most years), and Auburn. They beat the Vols in Knoxville by 5 touchdowns 2 years ago. That same year, they shut Auburn and Cam Newton down more than anyone else had all year...and lost on a last-second FG -- after a fluke play where everyone stopped and Michael Dyer got up and ran another 40 yards in the final minute.Against a great LSU team in 2011, they lost by 14 after losing the turnover battle 4-1, including two inside the 15 yard line and another at the 25 just seconds after the previous fumble. If you erase the stretch of the game where the Ducks had 3 TO's inside a few minute period, the game is a lot closer. The Ducks outgained LSU and had 7 more penalties than LSU.LSU created the havoc, but the Ducks hurt themselves a lot tooThey wouldn't dominate like they have in the Pac12, but they would be just fine.
Folston, Green, Kamara and Newby.......Who does Oregon end up landing for the last remaining RB spot?
Brandon Oliver (4:49 PM)
It's up in the air at this point. Kamara is all but out...Newby doesn't have an offer at this point. Same goes for the latest target, Kani Benoit. Visits by Green and Folston will be the big moment in running back recruiting. If the Ducks feel there is no shot at him, Newby or Benoit could get an offer soon after. It really is up in the air, but if I had to take one guess right now, I'd say Benoit is the most likely.
