We've got Nacho!
What do you think Juan's motivation is in fighting Manny for a fourth time?
what different things have you done in training camp?
Nacho Beristain (12:37 PM)
We're working on more strength and velocity. We want to go at Pacquiao. We want to show the world and leave no doubts we win the fight.
Given Juan's personal belief he's won previous bouts with Pacquiao, yet not recieved the nod from the judges, does he believe a KO is his only path to victory this time around?
Nacho Beristain (12:38 PM)
He's not worried. The judges should be worried. They're tainting the name of boxing. It's losing it's shine.
What's your favorite memory of training the Mexican Olympic teams years ago?
Nacho Beristain (12:39 PM)
Those times with the Olympic teams, that's what made me stick with boxing for the rest of my life. They are some beautiful memories. Any time you represent your country, it's special.
Two big names in the game fighting...do you think it could be the fight of the year?
Nacho Beristain (12:41 PM)
Any time that Marquez and Pacquiao face each other, it's always a grueling fight. It's a clash between a boxer who shows class and sheer power. There are people in Mexico that are excited and looking for tickets, even the expensive $1,200 ones.
Are you and Juan watching tapes of his previous fights with Manny to prepare for this fight?
Nacho Beristain (12:43 PM)
We've been watching video, but not a lot. We appreciate what he does in the ring. He's a very special fighter. His boxing is evolving all around the world. It's appealing to watch him fight.
Jesse (Downey )
After this fight any idea of what will Marquez do? Retire or stay at the welterweight division?
Nacho Beristain (12:44 PM)
He's 100% focused on the fight against Manny. He starts at 4am. His full attention is based on that. His future will depend on how this fight turns out.
will you train and gameplan to get a KO?
Nacho Beristain (12:46 PM)
It's going to be a hard path, because Manny resists punishment. Going for the KO should be the strategy of Freddie Roach and Manny Pacquiao. Our plan is to give Manny another boxing lesson.
