What was the best TD dance you thought of but never had a chance to pull off in the game?
Terrell Owens (2:42 PM)
There weren't any.
Terrell Owens (2:42 PM)
When I was playing, in order for me to do the dance, I had to score. I pulled off what I needed to pull off.
Who's the toughest Corner you ever went up against?
Terrell Owens (2:43 PM)
I would probably say Deion and Aneas Williams. Williams faced me a lot when I played in San Fran and he was with the Rams.
what was it like the first time you saw yourself on Madden?
Terrell Owens (2:44 PM)
It was interesting. From an athlete perspective to grow up and see your teammates, other great players in the game and then you're on the game with them, it's a sense of accomplishment that you've reached where you're in millions of peoples' homes. You're being utilized by a number of kids with their favorite teams and players. Everybody likes to have their favorite go-to guy. "Throw the ball to T.O. Throw it to Jerry Rice. Give the ball to Bo Jackson."
Ty (Jersey city)
You had the same knee surgery as Adrian Peterson, so how impressed are you by the season he's having?
Terrell Owens (2:45 PM)
Oh, very very impressed. To know what he had to go through, to know how invasive that surgery is, to know what he's doing is beyond remarkable.
how much video game playing do you do?
Terrell Owens (2:46 PM)
I do a little bit. Not so much now. I played more when they had Tecmo Bowl, the games like that. But now, every now and then I'll get on Madden and play with my son. Kids these days are now more into Madden and the XBox. Right now, the hottest thing out there is Madden 13.
how did you get involved with Madden?
Terrell Owens (2:47 PM)
I'm very familiar with the people out in EA Sports. I've developed a great relationship when I was out there. I've toured the facilities, still have a few friends out there. Madden right now is the game. Every year, everybody looks to see what the new graphics are. They've come a long way since the first one in 1992, I think it was.
If you never play another down in the NFL, are you OK with the entirety of your career?
Terrell Owens (2:48 PM)
Oh yeah, absolutely. Of course, I feel like I could definitely add to what I have already, but at the same time overall, considering not knowing or expecting to play beyond high school or the collegiate level, to be where I am, it speaks volumes for hard work. If you feel like your abilities aren't where they need to be, just keep working hard.
Pauly D (SF)
You were fantastic in SF...any chance of returning next year with Kap slinging the ball?
Terrell Owens (2:49 PM)
Who knows. I definitely would have loved to, in a perfect world, ended my career there, when they were looking for another receiver. You never know what can happen. If not, who knows what the future holds.
Mike (Tampa Fl)
Do you think Calvin Johnson will get Jerry Record and did you ever want to break that record in your career?
Terrell Owens (2:50 PM)
I definitely felt like I had some opportunities, given the right situation if things unfolded throughout the season the way they could have I could have had the record. What Calvin has in the QB in Stafford, with him slinging it around the field, he's put himself in a position to break it. He has all of the possibilities to be broken. If it happens, it happens. That should be something he's proud of.
Do you think Dez bryant has a chance to be an Elite reciever in the league?
Terrell Owens (2:51 PM)
Absolutely. A guy of that caliber, he has all of the potential and tools to be elite. He's making his case to do so with the way he's playing these last few games. If he's used in the right way and he takes pride in his position and taking responsibility, then he has the ability to be an elite WR.
What's your favorite NFL memory?
Terrell Owens (2:51 PM)
Favorite memory? Being in Philly, making it to the Super Bowl, that's something every athlete wants to accomplish. It took me 8-9 years to get there. To make it to the Super Bowl, that's probably the biggest accomplishment.
Do you want to stay involved with football after you retire?
Terrell Owens (2:52 PM)
Terrell Owens (2:53 PM)
I have no desire to be involved in any capacity as far as football is concerned. My love for the game isn't in X and O's. I didn't grow up with a dad throwing me the ball or anything. I fell in love with the game because I'm so competitive and love the game. I would probably like to do more basketball than football, if I had the choice.
What do you think was the biggest misconception the media had about you during your playing days?
Terrell Owens (2:53 PM)
That I was selfish and arrogant and not a good teammate.
any new movies or tv shows?
Terrell Owens (2:54 PM)
Recently, I've been shooting some stuff for Go On with Matthew Perry. I just shot an episode for 90210. Earlier in the year I did some stuff for Necessary Roughness. I'm trying to get my feet wet. To develop a portfolio with Hollywood. I just did a reality show on Fox that will air in January Stars in Danger, it's high diving competition. Be sure to check it out.
Christopher Kent (Little Rock)
Who is your pick for the Super Bowl this year? AFC and NFC
Terrell Owens (2:56 PM)
It's going to be hard to tell. The last couple of years a team has come out of the woodwork. Last year people had Green Bay going and we saw what happened. There is a lot of parity and I wouldn't say inconsistent play, but it's a close race. If anybody can get the Giants blueprint to what they've done the last 2 -3 years, getting their stride right at the end and catapulting them into the playoffs, that's what will happen. I don't have a favorite.
any current reciever playing now that reminds you of yourself?
Terrell Owens (2:57 PM)
I would have to say somebody like Calvin Johnson. Somebody that has a prototypical size when you're talking about being tall, big, fast. Dez Bryant can fit into that mold too. Those guys have the physique and attributes that remind me of myself.
Diego (ORLANDO) [via mobile]
Try out for an nba d-league team! Cpme play for Orlando!
Terrell Owens (2:58 PM)
Hey, you never know, I just may! I've been doing some basketball training and workouts, as well as staying on the field, keeping my WR skills sharp, as well as the diving training I've been doing the last few weeks. Me playing basketball wouldn't be a surprise to anybody.
What was the best advice you ever got as a young guy going into the league?
Terrell Owens (2:59 PM)
Just believe in yourself. Have a lot of confidence in yourself. Trust that whatever hard work you put in and if you've put it in, it will pay off. It might not be what you want, you might be second or third string, but when you're time is called, be ready.
Terrell Owens (3:00 PM)
I've been so appreciative of all of my fans out there. Much love to each and every one of them. Thanks for following my career and continuing to follow it. Go out there and get Madden '13, follow me on Twitter: @terrellowens. I want to get to 2 million, right now I'm at 1.3. Stay tuned to Twitter. I'm always active, talking to fans randomly. I try to respond to a lot of fans that take the time to reach out and show their support.
