Craig Haubert (2:01 PM)
Welcome everyone - Glad you could join me. We're getting closer to National Signing Day (NSD) so things are heating up. We just released our updated player rankings & as well as an updated top 40 class rankings - so feel free to ask questions about both. Lets get started.
Nathan (Lynchburg, VA)
Where do you think Marquez North will land?
Craig Haubert (2:03 PM)
At this point it looks like North Carolina will be the team to beat for the in-state WR
Jonathan Stewart (Saginaw, MI)
will brian kellys interview with the eagles hurt the notre dame recruiting class?
Craig Haubert (2:08 PM)
A few questions about this topic - some pretty angry, but I will say this is one of the hurdles of success. He has done a great job w/ ND whether he stays or goes & that program is in a better place then when he came on board. It could create some problems if it drags on, but the world will keep spinning
I know it is hard to say but who do you think ends up with the #1 class?
Craig Haubert (2:10 PM)
I think any of those current top 3 especially have a real legit shot at this point to finish at the top - depending on how things shake out.
I was wondering why Derrick Henry moved up to a 5 star?
Craig Haubert (2:13 PM)
We are not totally sold that RB is his best fit at the next level & especially at Alabama where they have/bringing in a deep stable of RB's - that being said he is a big
Chris (Jackson, TN)
The Noles got a huge pick up this week with DE Walker. Do you see the Noles closing well with some big names?
Craig Haubert (2:17 PM)
We will have to see if they can close, but FSU in the mix w/ some very good prospects still & are certainly a team to watch as they are in a position to possibly close well. Guys like LB Matthew Thomas, DE Tim Williams, WR Stacy Coley, OT Denver Kirkland are all guys "within reach"
Craig Do you think Tyshon Dye will play RB or LB at the next level?
Craig Haubert (2:20 PM)
He could get a look at LB wouldn't be surprised as he could be a fine player there as well, but I think RB -- He is a physical RB who can also help in the passing game.
Jonathan Allen is not talked about much since he commited early,He moved up again the ESPN 150.How good is he?
Craig Haubert (2:23 PM)
He is a good looking prospect -- big & athletic DE who I think could develop into a very good player in that Jack LB role for them
do you think ND get Vanderdoes? i hope so we need a big boy in the middle of that line
Craig Haubert (2:26 PM)
You got that right Jerry -- Lots to like about ND's class if your fan, but not much along the DL & they need to find someone to replace Nix. They get a big break w/ him coming back, but he has been a very key part of that defense
Which guy outside the top-150 has the most upside/potential for 2013 and for a full college career? (I'm thinking of a Manziel-like breakout performer.)
Craig Haubert (2:28 PM)
Andrew -- I'm going to give you another QB. Look out for Andrew Zwahlen - an underrated QB out of California. He will be a little off the beaten path, but could thrive & put up big #'s at Hawaii under Norm Chow
Which uncommitted players do you see signing with UGA on signing day? Also, what caused Tramel Terry to fall so far in the rankings?
Craig Haubert (2:31 PM)
We love Tramel Terry - great FB player. Between the recent injury & other moves among the 150
Why did Robert Nkemdiche decommit from Clemson?
Craig Haubert (2:33 PM)
Nick -- go to the Recruiting Nation page & click on the link of my sit down interview w/ Robert down at the Under Armour Game. He talks about that as well as his thoughts on LSU
Can you give me your thoughts on the job Larry Fedora has done at UNC? With all that has gone on, I want to hear your thoughts on his ability to recruit.
Craig Haubert (2:37 PM)
He has done a real nice job & I don't think that has surprised anyone. I think UNC is an underrated place to recruit to
Craig, how is Pitt's recruiting class looking for this year? I don't know much about anyone outside of Chapman.
Craig Haubert (2:42 PM)
It is developing into a real solid class. The Panthers just moved into the top 40. They recently added in-state WR Tyler Boyd & the class is led by OT Dorian Johnson - a very promising OT prospect
Craig Haubert (2:43 PM)
Also, Check out the Panthers team page on recruitingnation.com for written evals on the players in their class
Hunter (Baton Rouge, LA)
Any idea where Reuben Foster might be going??
Craig Haubert (2:45 PM)
At this stage could be anyone's guess but at this point I think most would seem to lean towards UGA for Foster
Why was Khaliel Rodgers so low? He dominated all week at the Army All American game!! He held more than his own against Vanderdoes and his teammate Bigelow among all others. Destroyed every one in camps, What gives?
Craig Haubert (2:50 PM)
He is in the 300 - so that is still a pretty high ranking, but why not higher? He is a big, strong & mauling OG - no doubt, but as he transitions to the next level we are a little worried about his pad level and ability to consistently play low- When he gets hands on a defender he can shut them down, but does tend play tall and straight-legged too often. Good prospect but that is why a little lower as compared to some of the other OG's
Davis (North Carolina )
Do the Gators have a realistic shot at landing Montavious Adams (DT)?
Craig Haubert (2:52 PM)
I tend to think they are a bit more of a long shot for him
I think Alabama finishes with Liner,Kamara,Bell, and Conner. What do you think?
Craig Haubert (2:55 PM)
I think it would be tough to argue w/ you on that & I tend to think L. Tunsil could be in that mix as well. They have real legit shots w/ all those guys - do they get all? - that will be really tough but some combo of those 5 is realistic by NSD
Craig Haubert (2:57 PM)
I have to wrap things up now. Really appreciate all you stopping by. Continue to stay posted to ESPN.com & ESPNU's Recruiting Nation as we head towards NSD for news
