Stephania Bell (11:47 AM)
Hi everyone! Hope you're having a Happy Friday. What injury questions are on your mind?
Thoughts on Foster this week? Do you think he plays?
Stephania Bell (11:50 AM)
Matt: I think he has a good chance. But...it is dependent on what Kubiak sees from him today and then it still may be a gtd. Night game on Sunday so there's that. Generally with the Texans we get a good idea beforehand but since it's his hamstring, they may want to wait to test in pregame warmups. Make sure you have a backup plan, even if it looks like later today he will start.
Is DeMarco Murray rushing his return? Are you worried about a setback? Looking to trade FOR him and slightly concerned. Thanks!
Stephania Bell (11:51 AM)
JJ: Of course we never really know until we see him in a game BUT, I am less concerned. After all, he was going to play last week then when knee stiffened up some late in the morning, they decided to call it and have him wait. The extra week can only have helped. So, like him better this week.
Hey Stephania, hearing anything on the backfield situation in Carolina?
Stephania Bell (11:52 AM)
Grant: Only that no one, including Ron Rivera, is planning to help clear it up for us. I expect they'll have 3 backs available and it's not going to be clear how they'll use them.
Morning Stephania. Is Stacy safe to plug into the flex or should I go with Jeffery or VJax? Thanks a bunch!!!!!
Stephania Bell (11:54 AM)
Marty: Morning. I'll feel better when today's practice reports are out but Stacy was reportedly moving much better in practice Thursday vs Weds, making it a much better sign for Sunday.
How do you manage Graham going forward if you own him? Keep running him out there every time he is active but have a good TE backup in place?
Stephania Bell (11:56 AM)
Bob: Yes. That is the answer. Graham showed us he could do a lot with a little so as long as he's capable of playing, I'd keep running him out there. But plantar fascia conditions can worsen anytime so always want a backup in place.
Any Doug Martin updates?
Stephania Bell (11:58 AM)
Ryan: Nothing extremely specific. But it sounds like the team remains hopeful. Early on, Martin said his pain and range of motion were improving. Was always going to take a few weeks to see if he would recover enough to return so we're still in that window. Like his chances given the early positives.
What are your thoughts on Roddy White for this week, and for the rest of the season?
Stephania Bell (12:01 PM)
Adam: Still very iffy for this week although just learned he did return to practice today. Keep in mind this is the first practice session (and I imagine it will be limited) for him since injuring his hamstring before the bye. Hard to see that being enough to clear him to play Sunday but you never know. I'd be reluctant to take a chance on him in his first game out after the two injuries anyway, even more so if he were to return after such limited practice.
Expectations for Spiller this week?
Stephania Bell (12:04 PM)
Matt: Conservatuve, given that this will be first test we see in a couple weeks. While he says the time off has helped and the coach agrees, we still have yet to see him really look like himself in a game situation, for an extended period. I'm guessing this is a better outing than last but not exceptional. Still favor Jackson over Spiller this week.
Any concerns with Gronk's hamstring issue this week? Do you expect him to be limited if he plays?
Stephania Bell (12:06 PM)
Laura: Always a bit of a concern when something new crops up. So far no real indications this is serious since he has still been doing limited practices with the team. Sometimes see these types of injuries when a guy returns after such extended time off. I do think he's still working his way back from the original injuries in terms of playing time, touches, etc so this to me only cements the notion they will continue to do so.
Any updates on Thad Lewis?
Stephania Bell (12:07 PM)
Keith: Back at practice today so it at least opens the door for him BUT it's not clear yet just how much he did or how he looked to the coaches. Bills have not announced who will start yet.
Geoff (Midtown NY)
Is Andre Brown going to be my knight in shining armor?
Stephania Bell (12:09 PM)
Geoff: I hope so because then he will be for me too in one league. I have liked the prospect of a healthy Andre Brown and we'll finally get that when he returns next week. Whether he can stay healthy is the question but the extra recovery time from the fibula fracture has allowed him some extra conditioning time. I like him right away to have an impact.
Is Percy Harvin going to play during the fantasy season?
Stephania Bell (12:11 PM)
Scott: I think it's virtually a sure thing but we don't know when. I always thought it would be late November/early December. Now it might be sooner than that but he overdid it a bit last week and that's why they scaled it back this week. They will not risk a long-term consequence so they will go based on how the hip responds over next couple of weeks. And he may be limited in touches at first. Probably ramping up through December.
Lynch has now missed two days of practice. Any concerns? Who gets the majority of the workload if he misses?
Stephania Bell (12:13 PM)
Brian: I'm not especially worried because the Seahawks haven't expressed any rumblings of concern. They did play Monday night making this a shortened week, so resting him two days for a sore knee doesn't surprise me. If he does nothing today, then be more alarmed.
Former Wayne owner. Does DHBs addition to injury report with a hamstring injury concern you, especially since speed is his game?
Stephania Bell (12:15 PM)
Jon: Yes and no. Never like the late addition (his came Thursday) BUT he is back practicing today.Part of that could be to test it and see how it feels and how it responds to some more work, so we will be watching late today for word coming out of Indy. But right now, sounds like maybe he had some tightness, they proactively limited him Thurs and are hoping to have dodged something more serious.
S-Jax no longer an injury concern?
Stephania Bell (12:17 PM)
Nate: Wouldn't say that. He returned last week, only had six yards on 11 carries. Not great. Came out of the game no worse for wear but hasn't really shown that he's back to power running at his best. First few weeks will be the test to see whether he can actually get back to that and be productive without a setback.
An news on Bernards ribs?
Stephania Bell (12:18 PM)
Jack: Only that it doesn't appeat serios; now he has a little extra time before next week.
Stephania Bell (12:19 PM)
