KC Joyner (4:01 PM)
Good afternoon! Let's talk some fantasy football!
Megatron >>>>>>>>>>>> Wallace
KC Joyner (4:01 PM)
Figure we should start this chat with some tradition.
SUPER FLY SNUKA "ORIGINAL" (OFF THE TOP OF THE CAGE)
Sup KC, I got Swagger Jacked again the last 2 weeks?SMH?Brady or RG3 this wk?? drop Amendola or Vereen for D. Walker?Im concerned about J.Thomas n Reed not Playing this Week?Thank U!!!
KC Joyner (4:03 PM)
Got through watching some of Mick Foley's DVD - forgot that he was in attendance at that match and they have a video shot of him in the crowd. RG3 rates higher than Brady. Drop Amendola for Vereen.
Coconut (Off Snukka's Head)
PPR FLEX: Bobby Rainey, Harry Douglas or, Jason Witten?
KC Joyner (4:04 PM)
One of the best WWE moments ever. That had to hurt even though it's obvious the coconut was scored. Douglas rates a bit higher than Rainey this week (Rainey has a tough matchup).
Mark Ingram a sneaky play tonight?
KC Joyner (4:05 PM)
Could be but he's an RB3 on his own team. Lots of risk involved in putting him in the lineup.
Nick (Stuck in the snowy dimension called CO)
KC I really enjoy your chats! thanks for all of your work! I have two questions. First I can play 3 of 4 rb's Bush, lacy, Peterson, and stacy? Also which wide Receiver would you start out of T Smith and J Gordon? Thanks for your help!
KC Joyner (4:07 PM)
It may sound crazy but it would be great to see some snow down here in Florida. My eldest is 13 and he's never even seen one snowflake in his life. Tempted to drive them north to see snow some day. Tough call on the RBs, Peterson actually rates lowest because he has the toughest matchup. Gordon & Smith rate dead even this week, would probably start Smith because Cromartie has struggled at times this year.
Stone Cold Steve Austin (Give me a HELL YEAH)
I have a "good" issue I guess. I can't decide who to bench out of Colston, Hilton and Torrey Smith in a .5 PPR. Which do I bench? Thinking Hilton cause of Peterson.
KC Joyner (4:09 PM)
HELL YEAH! Hope he shows up at WrestleMania. Not sure the Cards will move Peterson to follow Hilton but as dominant as Peterson has been this year (check out today's TFS ESPN Insider article on Arizona), he'd be the player to bench.
Mad Dog (Vachon)
Who do you prefer in a 1 point PPR league this week. Witten or Ivory?
KC Joyner (4:10 PM)
Just learned through this chat that Vachon passed away today. RIP to one of the best heels ever. Ivory over Witten.
Help a girl out! Need 1 RB and 1 Flex: Le'Veon, De'Angelo, Rashard, Marques & Alshon. Thanks!
KC Joyner (4:11 PM)
Glad to! Bell for RB. Alshon for flex.
Love your work... but I need some help. I have to win the next two weeks to make the playoffs and am going against the top team in the league this week. Pick two WRs : Roddy, Douglas, James Jones, or Keenan Allen.
KC Joyner (4:12 PM)
Got to play for upside in that event. Douglas is the hands down first choice. Jones has the most upside of the others given that he is facing the Vikings secondary.
The Fabulous Moolah (Parts Unknown)
Help a brotha out KC! Need to start one at flex: Ray Rice, Cecil Shorts, Rueben Randle or Dwayne Bowe in ppr. Thanks ahead of time because I know you are going to answer my question!
KC Joyner (4:13 PM)
A rather presumptuous answer. Got Bowe and Rice rated highest, would probably pick Bowe due to WR over RB in a PPR.
Everyone ranks Colston and D. Murray side by side. Does ppr give Colston the edge?
KC Joyner (4:14 PM)
It's close. Still have Murray rated higher in a PPR but not by much.
If you dont like the chat (Go somewhere else)
Im a regular to this chat and love it, I think Im going to just stick with this name (becuase Ive heard cards are not in yet) just to remind people this is the best chat of the week ... anyways PPR Rainey or Andre Brown?
KC Joyner (4:15 PM)
Hey now - the questions have all been good this week. No need to start antagonizing the crowd just yet. Brown rates higher than Rainey this week.
King Kong Buddy (Count to FIVE!!!)
Play Rivers vs KC or go with either Glennon or Tolzien?
KC Joyner (4:17 PM)
Five count was one of the best angles ever. Surprised they aren't trying to do that in today's WWE. Actually have Glennon rated highest out of that trio.
Creepy abbreviator (Abbreviating from inside the house!)
KCJ, in your film studies, have you seen any red flags with Romo? He's been rather pedestrian since the Denver game despite a soft schedule.
KC Joyner (4:18 PM)
That's still one of the most memorable questions from this season's chats. No new red flags with Romo - still the same old ones of sometimes the Cowboys can't get the vertical pass game going even though their entire offense looks to be built around those types of throws.
SUPER FLY SNUKA "ORIGINAL" (OFF THE TOP OF THE CAGE)
RIP to my Pitbull "BELLA" she was 7yrs old got her 2 weeks after my son was born, great dog, great friend, and family member?that will greatly be missed!!!!!I wanna thank KC and everybody that posts as i was looking forward toward this hour to help me forget for the moment ..thanks
KC Joyner (4:19 PM)
Don't normally post personal posts but will make an exception in this case. Your pit bull and the Mad Dog can hang out today.
Razor Ramon (Toothpick Flick)
more upside rest of season, Burleson or Miles Austin? 1 point ppr. also i have AP, Gio, Vereen and CJ?K, is Gerhart worth holding onto while AP deals with his injury? concerns of Vikings holding Peterson out Fantasy Playoff weeks due to lost season? thanks chico.
KC Joyner (4:21 PM)
Where did he come up with calling people chico? Austin if upside is the only measuring stick. Would hold on to Gerhart unless an equal or better option was available.
I do not enjoy your chat at all. Not enough time or space to list the multitude of reasons why! No matter I still have a question I deem important whether others do not. Need one from TY, J Thomas, Jeffery or James Jones.
KC Joyner (4:21 PM)
Did you seriously expect this question to get answered?
Dr. Peter Venkman (He Slimed Me)
In a ppr: Burleson, D walker, or Rishard Mathews in a w/t if Reed cant goTo the Original: Dogs are wonderful ,sorry for the lost man
KC Joyner (4:23 PM)
My kids just started getting into watching the Ghostbusters films. Walker wins out of that trio.
Help me beat my older brother for a playoff spot! Standard league, pick 3: Vereen, Steve Smith, Ellington, James Jones, Rueben Randle, Kendall Wright
KC Joyner (4:23 PM)
More sibling rivalries. Quick answer on this would be Smith, Ellington and Wright.
IT DOESN'T MATTER (WHAT MY NAME IS)
The Rock's got a bench full of jabronis that need starting and could use your advice. Need to start 3 / sit 3: Larry Fitz, Marques Colston, Harry Douglas, Hakeem Nicks, Keenan Allen, Nate Burleson.
KC Joyner (4:24 PM)
To quote Mick Foley - know your mouth and shut your role! Would start Fitz, Colston and Douglas.
Lee Corso (Not So Fast)
Dobson or Shorts in a ppr?
KC Joyner (4:27 PM)
My kids get a kick out of seeing Corso's headgear pick every week. It makes football fun and we need as much of that fun celebration as we can get right now. Got those two rated dead even this week, would start Dobson due to better QB and the chance NE gets into a shootout.
Still Hungry (For a Taco... Floating in Space)
Standard League: Rivers or Glennon and for Flex I'm trying to decide between Douglas, Reed or Ellington. Thanks KC!
KC Joyner (4:28 PM)
Still plan on watching that film with Mrs. Scientist - it's just impossible to get movie time in during the season. Glennon over Rivers. Douglas at flex.
Bobby Heenan (CA)
My brain tells me that RG3 may not be a good play this Monday. Is Glennon the smarter choice?
KC Joyner (4:29 PM)
Heenan's books are quite humorous. Funny to find that when he became the Bobby Heenan character, he had never even been to California. Glennon is a solid play this week but RG3 still rates higher.
KC I'm in a league where a couple of trades were vetoed and in reaction one kid stopped starting players (everyone put on bench). They remained there for a couple weeks until this week when he plays me. Keep in mind there are 2 open spots to playoffs, with 3 teams fighting for them including me. Thoughts?
KC Joyner (4:32 PM)
In this case, the commissioner should take over running that team and the owner in question should be kicked out of the league. Regarding what the lineup should be this week, it should be the best lineup that team can field. Commissioner should never have let the situation get this far, IMO.
You seem to like Douglas more than Keenan; can you discuss your reasoning? New Orleans hasn't given up a touchdown to a receiver in about five games. Is it due to their secondary injuries?
KC Joyner (4:32 PM)
That's a large part of it. Plus, Douglas has played very well and Allen looks to be battling an injury.
Bruiser Brody (the ORIGINAL Mick Foley)
thoughts on Big Ben ROS? he has shown signs of life, and I have Romo who tends to drop the ball (in every sense of the word) come December.
KC Joyner (4:34 PM)
Brody was definitely an original. Would highly recommend both David Shoemaker's new book and Larry Matysik's classic Brody biography for those interested in reading about Brody's greatness. Am leaning towards Ben over Romo ROS.
YOU CAN'T HANDLE (THE TRUTH)
You kind of look like Paul Rudd, if he spent countless hours meticulously obsessing over fantasy football decisions. Is that a compliment? Also, Vereen or Roddy White in a PPR?
KC Joyner (4:36 PM)
I'll take it as a compliment, although my look has changed in the 8 years since that photo was taken. Am planning on getting a new picture taken after the season is over. Vereen and White rank dead even in a PPR, would take White due to WR over RB in a PPR.
KC Joyner (4:37 PM)
Hey, quick question to everyone. There will be no SportsNation chats on Thursday next week (Thanksgiving). You guys up for doing a chat on Friday?
You're a funny guy!!!! Which, as a drunk, I appreciate more than most. Who would you start in a .5 PPR: Ivory or Ogb... (Cle RB)
KC Joyner (4:38 PM)
Just got through watching the Goodfellas funny guy scene. True story - they initially ad libbed that in rehearsal. Someone had done that very thing to Pesci in the past and he decided to turn it into a part for the movie. Ivory over Ogbonnaya.
Rusty (Chicago - Plz take our snow)
Fantasy playoffs are starting for me this week! Plz help! PPR. Need to start 2: Pierre Thomas, Harry Douglas, Cecil Shorts.
KC Joyner (4:39 PM)
Glad to take the snow for a day. Douglas and Thomas.
Monty Python Reunion (Holy Grail)
KC, I enjoy these chats immensely as do most here...of course we would like one Friday! Please pick one for flex: Stills, Montee Ball, Kendall Wright. Much obliged to you!
KC Joyner (4:40 PM)
Am thankful that my brother is a big Monty Python fan and got me interested in their movies a ways back. Wright for flex.
Phil Eliott (North Dallas Forty )
Better (Fantasy) football through chemistry, but this is a lousy batch...Standard League:Pick RB & Flex: C Ogbonnaya, A Ellington, Donald Brown
KC Joyner (4:41 PM)
Funny, just got through watching that movie last week. Resonates just as well today as it did the day it hit theaters. Brown wins that one but watch out for Ellington ROS - he's in double-digit GBYPA territory this year.
Definitely stir this chat up on StirFridays! for this week.. anyways... as you can tell I need more sleep. Pick 2 - Harry Douglas, TY, James Jones! Thanks!
KC Joyner (4:42 PM)
Catch some Zzzzs, my friend. Douglas and T.Y.
Torn between using Cards and Saints DST this week. Currently have Cards and would have to drop them for Saints. Can see pitfalls and upsides for both. Your thoughts. THANKS!!!!
KC Joyner (4:44 PM)
They both have tough match ups ROS but Arizona looks to have tougher match ups the next two weeks. Would probably drop them for NO.
Yes to Friday Chat (Tampa)
Love your chats... look forward to it every week, so, yes you should continue it next Friday. Jordan Cameron has been awful with Campbell at the helm... should I go with Garrett Graham instead? I am also starting Ben Tate in case that sways your decision.
KC Joyner (4:45 PM)
Graham has a much more favorable matchup this week and actually ends up rating higher than Cameron because of that.
Amanda Huggenkiss (Springfield)
Would you drop J. Cameron for D. Walker?
KC Joyner (4:47 PM)
Moe: C'mon guys, I need Amanda Huggenkiss! One of the funniest Simpsons lines ever. Walker and Cameron both have very favorable schedules down the stretch. Wouldn't say no to the move.
Stuck (At Work) [via mobile]
Do I start Roddy over Leveon out of sheer boredom? I need something to track tonight. Also I can see than throwing 40+ times, no?
KC Joyner (4:48 PM)
Bell does rate over White this week but not by a whole lot. If it makes tonight's game more interesting, go for it.
Friday Chats! (NYC)
Cincinnati or Buffalo Defenses worth stashing to play out rest of season? Both dropped in my league during bye week and I have an open spot.
KC Joyner (4:49 PM)
Like the Buffalo D more, as they have much better match ups.
I.P. Freely (Moe's)
You know that's better than Amanda Huggenkiss. Would you start Colston over Harry Douglas and does it matter that I have Jimmy Graham starting too?
KC Joyner (4:51 PM)
Can't quite put that ahead but it is a close second. Got Douglas rated higher than Colston by a small amount.
Brooklyn Brawler (Brooklyn, NY)
You know I always lose, so I could really use the help. Please pick 2 for this week out of: Gonzalez, Gates, MJD. Thanks!
KC Joyner (4:52 PM)
WWE could use some memorable jobbers in today's product. Gonzalez and MJD rate highest, although do be sure to keep an eye on Gonzalez's injury status.
10 minutes left in this Match (NWA ring annoucer)
Best 2 here KC in non ppr: Gore,Lacy,Stacy or Bush? Thanks
KC Joyner (4:54 PM)
It's just not as good to have the refs tell the wrestlers how much time is remaining. Stacy rates highest due to best matchup. Of the other three, am thinking Gore is the best.
Bill Mulkey (parts unknown)
Flex help please, KC. Jimmy Graham, Alf, Vereen or Antonio Brown? .5 ppr.
KC Joyner (4:55 PM)
If memory serves correct, they actually had the Mulkeys win a match one time. Crowd went nuts seeing the best jobbers of all time actually get a win. Graham wins that one, as Brown faces Haden and Alf almost never catches passes.
BREAKING NEWS (Minnesota)
Just heard Peterson didn't practice today...is Gerhart a good pickup, and if so, would you drop Greene or Leonard to get him? Thanks!
KC Joyner (4:56 PM)
Assuming this is correct, would drop Leonard to get him (Titans have some very favorable match ups coming up).
KC huge fan! Need help with this trade: Gronk and d thomas for cj?k, decker, vereen, and j reed! Who gets better side? Thanks!
KC Joyner (4:58 PM)
Jake from Illinois. That's so close to a State Farm or Blue Brothers reference. Would rather be on the Gronk/Thomas side of that trade.
I should probably (start watching wrestling)
Maurice Jones-Drew or Pierre Garcon at flex?
KC Joyner (5:00 PM)
Hey, as always, humorous/interesting questions are just as welcome as wrestling related questions. MJD wins that one.
KC Joyner (5:01 PM)
That was a very fun hour! Just followed up on the Friday chat possibility - turns out there are no Friday chats next week. May aim to do a Wednesday chat, will let everyone know if that's a go.
KC Joyner (5:03 PM)
