After a bye week last week, Boise State finds itself at No. 10 in the BCS standings and No. 12 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. Both rankings are the highest in school history. Two weeks ago, the Broncos demolished Hawaii 69-3, setting records in team rushing, margin of victory and points scored, just to name a few.
On Saturday, Boise State will clash with San Jose St. (noon ET, ESPN2). Boise State is 13-0 on ESPN and ESPN2 since becoming a Division 1A team in 1996.

Jared Zabransky (11:03 AM)
I am here and ready to go!
Darren, Boise, Idaho
Jared, I'm a true BSU fan and enjoy watching you guys play every week. I think you are doing a great job taking over where RD left off. Was it difficult to get the offense to see and treat you as there leader? Good luck this weekend.
Jared Zabransky (11:04 AM)
No. Not at all. We have worked hard together all summer and got to know everyone early. This past summer was huge with our preparation and we all believed in each other.
Mike Owens, Seattle, WA
Hey Jared, Proud Bronco Alum here, What would you say is Coach Hawkins best attribute as a coach?
Jared Zabransky (11:04 AM)
It is probably his ability to motivate. He can get anyone going with what he says week to week. His meetings are very unique and knows how to inspire people.
Eric Asker Dayton, OH
With the University of Idaho joining the WAC do you think that weakens the conference? Are the Broncos ready to move on to a bigger and stronger conference like the Mountain West or Pack Ten or should we expect the Broncos to continue to dominate WAC opposition like beating down U of Idaho 77-0?
Jared Zabransky (11:05 AM)
As far as weaking the conference, I'm not sure about that. I think it's good we can play them in a conf. game instead of using a non-conf. game on them. That gives us a chance to play BCS opponents. Yes, I think we are ready to move into the Mountain West or Pac 10. I think if we had gone this year we would have finished top 3.
Darin, Boise ID
The fake fumble you ran against Hawaii on 4th down was incredible. Who's idea was it? Got anything like that to look forward to against San Jose State?
Jared Zabransky (11:06 AM)
That was actually Coach Hawkin's idea. Worked out pretty well! No trick plays lined up against San Jose St... but we'll have soemthing for the fans!
Tim Vance (Boise, ID)
I think you and the team are doing a great job so keep it up. Do you think the team, especially the defense is starting to come together after the Hawaii game? Do you think we have the pass defense to compete with a BCS team if we made it to a major bowl? I've noticed you seem more comfortable as the year progresses, how are you feeling as far as your confidence in running the offense? Good luck and it'll be great to watch you the rest of this season and the next two years!
Jared Zabransky (11:07 AM)
Yeah. The defense played very well in that game. Since Fresno State we have been on track and kep improving each week. We should be right where we want to be when this is all over. We just have to keep going game by game and we'll be happy with the end result.
David, Kuna, ID
You guys have obviously done a fantastic job this year, and I haven't missed a game. Getting a little ahead of ourselved now, how excited are you about playing "between the hedges" at Georgia next year? I know you are still concentrating on this year, but we fans like to look ahead. Thanks, and good luck!!
Jared Zabransky (11:08 AM)
Right now, we haven't given that much thought. But it does come up every now and then. When we do talk about, it's very exciting. We want to show what we can do.
Kyle Rowland-Marion,OH
What drew you to Boise State?
Jared Zabransky (11:09 AM)
Mainly the coaching staff and the players. After that, I had to give in to the area because this place reminds me of home. It's a nice place to be.
Boise,Idaho
How does T.J. Acree get open so easily?
Jared Zabransky (11:09 AM)
It's his route speed. He is just fast and it's all about the way he runs his route.
Mark (Meridian, ID)
Jared, BSU is the second youngest team in D-1A. How good can this team be?
Jared Zabransky (11:10 AM)
I think we take being young as a plus. We have so much to look forward to because so many guys are coming back and we can keep building on our strengths. We have so many young guys that are ready to play and are just good players.
Mike (Amarillo)
How do you think you guys match up agaist Utah the other BCS buster? Do think you should be ranked as high as they are? And tell Espn to broadcast one of your games in HD I think the blue turf would look cool.
Jared Zabransky (11:11 AM)
I think we would match up very well. We both have solid defenses and explosive offenses. I think our defense is stronger from what I've seen but I haven't assessed them all together. It would be a shootout for sure. We do belong in the Top 6 or 7. If things go right for us, we will be there. We just have to handle out part of the deal.
Mark, Boise ID
How is the team handling the rumors that Hawk might be moving on next year?
Jared Zabransky (11:12 AM)
I haven't talked about that with anyone. That came up last year also. But all that will work itself out. We are concentrating on what we have to do this season.
Kyle (Boise)
Have you ever in your life played a game as early as 9:00 a.m.? How hard is it going to be to be mentally and physically prepared against San Jose?
Jared Zabransky (11:12 AM)
I played basketball games at 9am!
Mark LaGrande, OR
Boise State has been on a roll this season, will the 'Team' be dissapointed if they are sent to the MPC Bowl in Boise? What bowl would BSU have to play in for the team to consider the season a sucess?
Jared Zabransky (11:13 AM)
We need to play in a bowl we feel we deserve to be in .. doesn't necessarily have to be a BCS game although that is our goal. We just want to go undefeated and then it is up to everyone else. We jus want to have some good competition and we will be happy with that.
James Ithaca NY
Do you think you'll end up better than RYan Dinwiddie and whatever happened to Tim Gilligan? Is he playingin the NFL now?
Jared Zabransky (11:14 AM)
Right now I don't think about that too much. I'm just concerned with what I have to do to put this team in a situation to be successful. If my career is over and they feel I was better, so be it. But I'm not worried about it.
Fred, Mtn Home
Does the SmurfTurf really offer a home field advantage?
Jared Zabransky (11:15 AM)
Yeah, I think it does. People are thrown off by it at first. Anytime we can be in front of our home crowd, we have a great advantage.
Ozi Sander (Boston Ma)
Do you think you have a good chance of making it up to the NFL? Because after all some scouts are questioning your mental and physical toughness.
Jared Zabransky (11:16 AM)
I'm confident I have a good chance. This system puts QBs in a great situation with all the intricasies of the offense. I don't think much about people questioning my game. I'm just trying to put myself in the best situation I can.
Janson (Boise, ID)
When can we expect Carr to return?
Jared Zabransky (11:17 AM)
I'm not sure. He has a couple weeks of rehab left. I think you will see him in another game this season.
Daryl Smith Boise, ID
How do you feel about the bronco fan base? Do the Bronco's feel the city of Boise loves there home team? Ihope so I know I cant wait to fly to the Fiesta Bowl, Or Liberty Bowl. Thank's
Jared Zabransky (11:18 AM)
I really feel like this city is behind us. We have a great fan base. They tend to have our back when we are up against a wall and that is great. We just want to see them at every game with a sellout each game.
Jeffrey Wooden (San Angelo,Texas)
What is your favorite memory at Boise?
Jared Zabransky (11:18 AM)
That would be the Oregon State game.
Bill (Boise,ID)
What were you thinking as you scrambled 85 yards for a TD against Hawaii? That was quite the run!
Jared Zabransky (11:19 AM)
Just hoping I would get good blocks downfield! I just didn't want to get caught!
rob (atl)
Jared, this has been partially answered... How much of impact has the system had on your game play? Seems that you feel comfortable in the game plan, play calling, and line checks. You wouldn't put up 63 if you didn't.
Jared Zabransky (11:20 AM)
It's a great system to play in. It always puts you in a situation to succeed. That is what the coaches are all about here. It has improved my game quite a bit. Coach Peterson has been really patient with me.
Karl (Boise)
Great job this season, it has been a blast and even turned my previously apathetic-about-football wife into a rabid fan! It seems like this time of year there are always some big upsets. What are you guys doing to keep from looking past arguably much weaker foes?
Jared Zabransky (11:21 AM)
Our motto is blue collar. Word hard. We do that each week and when you go week by week, you tend not to look past anyone or anything.
Mcknight (Nampa)
Take it easy on Idaho next year won't ya??
Jared Zabransky (11:21 AM)
We can't ever promise that! We will shoot the lights out every game if we can.
Mike (Boise, ID)
You're one of the best QB's throwing on a rollout I've seen in years. Did you have to work to develop throws like that, or have those throws on the run always been a strength?
Jared Zabransky (11:22 AM)
It's always been a strength of mine. I ran the wing T in high school and 85 percent of my throws were on the run. I played shortstop as well so it is sort of second nature to me.
Dave (Dallas, TX)
Why do you think Trev Albert's bashes Boise State every weekend? Do you think he's right that you could hang with teams like Texas or Nebraska?
Jared Zabransky (11:24 AM)
We get very tired of it. Personally, I do. If he really assessed the situation, we don't get the chance to match up with those guys. When we do, like against Oregon State, look what happened. When we get chances, we take advantage of it. If we get in a BCS game, we are not going to roll over. We want a chance to prove ourselves.
Jeffrey Wooden (San Angelo,Texas)
What is your least favorite memory at Boise?
Jared Zabransky (11:24 AM)
Probably the SMU game. We just did not play well and it was my worst game of the year.
Billy (Boise,ID)
It is 4th and goal from the 7 yard line - what play do you want to see signaled in?
Jared Zabransky (11:26 AM)
Probably a sprint out to the right with 3 possible receivers. We have a play called sprint out protection where three receivers cross each other. Thanks for all the great questions.. I have to run. Be sure and catch the game Saturday on ESPN2 at noon ET!
Buzzmaster (11:35 AM)
Jared, thanks for stopping by! Good luck the rest of the way!
Buzzmaster (11:38 AM)
How is everyone doing? The Schwab, Howie Schwab, will be coming up next at noon ET ..
Will B. (Va Beach)
Whats up Buzz, whats for lunch today at the Worldwide Leader?
Buzzmaster (11:52 AM)
Haven't made the trek to the caf yet. The pepperoni pizza has become Buzz's go-to lunch.
Steve (Ithaca)
Buzz, will you bust some rhymes to keep us entertained in the mean time?
Buzzmaster (11:52 AM)
You really don't want that.
Buzzmaster (11:54 AM)
OK, we are nearing Howie Time. The man responsible for most of the fun facts you here on ESPN will be here at noon ET .. if you have bets you need settled, trivia questions answered, dating advice .. OK, maybe not dating advice .. but Howie can answer most all of it.
