Chat with Wisconsin coach Barry Alvarez

Welcome to The Show! On Friday, Wisconsin head football coach and athletic director Barry Alvarez will drop by The Show as part of our celebration of the launch of the new ESPNU network. ESPNU will bring you the best of college athletics, and Alvarez knows about running both a football team and an entire athletic program.

After getting his start in big-time coaching as an assistant at Notre Dame, Alvarez moved on to take charge of a struggling but storied program at Wisconsin. Under his charge, the Badgers have once again become a force to be reckoned with, regularly contending for the Big Ten title and BCS bids. Along the way, Alvarez has resisted the lure of both the NFL and Notre Dame to remain at an idyllic college atmosphere in Madison.

Alvarez will be stopping by at 12:30 p.m. ET on Friday, so send in your questions now about what it's like to run a major athletic department.

What is ESPNU? It's a multi-media college sports initiative including a new 24-hour television network. ESPNU will by highlighted by approximately 300 live events in the network's first year! Action will include football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, lacrosse, hockey, wrestling and more! Original Dream Job winner Mike Hall will serve as the signature anchor of ESPNU.
