Trevor Frischmon (3:29 PM)
I'm here and ready to go!
Ryan - St Paul, MN
Trevor, Do you feel that your team will need to play an aggressive offensive style due to your inconsistent goalkeeping? Also, is the size or the rink going to be a factor in your teams play the the Frozen Four?
Trevor Frischmon (3:31 PM)
First, the size won't be a factor for us. We've played our last four games on NHL size rinks. Yes, we will have to play aggressive. They are a very stingy defense and we have to get to the net as much as we can.
Chris Higman Oswego, IL
What will CC do to negate DU's defense on the smaller NHL ice? PS-I'm a CC grad!! Go Tigers!
Trevor Frischmon (3:32 PM)
They stack up 3-4 guys on the blue line so we just have to chip the puck past those guys and go get it.
Jason (Minneapolis)
What does Scotty Owens bring as a coach that you haven't seen from other coaches you've had?
Trevor Frischmon (3:32 PM)
I think just preparation. We are always completely prepared. He does an unbelievable job getting us ready for games.
Mike McArty (Balad Air Base, Iraq)
With the time off you have had, is everyone more focused with the rest or do you feel it has hurt you?
Trevor Frischmon (3:33 PM)
Everyone is still focuses. The break helps us a bit in getting some rest and getting reorganized. We can't wait to play. We're very antsy and ready to play some games.
Steve (Salisbury, MD) CC Alum '94
Trevor, do you guys feel like a team of destiny...having come back from a big deficit against nemesis Michigan, getting to have a little "revenge" tour with Denver coming up? Do you care what goalie DU starts? Best of luck on Thursday (and Saturday). Go Tigers!
Trevor Frischmon (3:34 PM)
We don't care what goalie starts. We have played both and know both well. It won't be a big factor. They are both good goalies.
Joe (Colorado Springs, CO)
Who do you think has a better chance at the Hobey? Marty has more points and seems to make the big plays happen, but Brett has been getting some more attention recently.
Trevor Frischmon (3:35 PM)
That's going to be a tough decision. I'm glad I don't have to decide! They are both great players and well deserving. I couldn't say who deserves it more.
Allan (Anoka, MN)
Besides hockey, what other things keep you occupied in your free time?
Trevor Frischmon (3:35 PM)
If it is warm enough I go golfing a lot. Other than that, just hanging out with the guys and going to movies.
Mark, Alexandria, VA
What effect does the home crowd at World Arena have on the Team's performance? Will you match up better against DU at a Neutral site?
Trevor Frischmon (3:37 PM)
I think the home crowd helps a lot. It is huge when we score a goal and the crowd really gets into it. Playing Denver at a neutral site probably helps both teams equally.
John - Boston
UND is playing tough, tell me how the Gophs will beat them? How will you beat them in the championship?
Trevor Frischmon (3:37 PM)
I really don't know. We haven't played UND for awhile. They look like they are playing extremely well right now. The Gophers will have to have an all-out effort with good goaltending.
Erick (work (hell))
Frisch, it's CHI. Good to see one of Blaine's finest having some success. I'll say hi to Stachel for you. Maybe I'll see you at old man/beer league softball this summer.
Trevor Frischmon (3:39 PM)
Sounds good. Thanks a lot. Maybe we'll see you this summer.
Jeff (Rochester NY)
Is there some added fire because your playing the defending national champs
Trevor Frischmon (3:39 PM)
Definately. You want to beat the defending champ, esp. when it's Denver, our biggest rival. It has added a lot of fire for us.
Migeul - Omaha, NE
If you could pick one other player from any of the Frozen four to play in CC, who would it be and why?
Trevor Frischmon (3:40 PM)
Probably Matt Carl. He is a tremendous defenseman and hard to cover. He can turn a game around for a team.
Chris (Blaine, MN)
Do you still keep in contact with guys from your H.S. hockey team?
Trevor Frischmon (3:41 PM)
Yeah. I keep in contact with quiet a few. Matt Hendricks, Scott Romfo, Justin Johnson, Brandon Bochenski.
Mike McArty (Balad Air Base, Iraq)
You guys will be good, if not better next year, however how big of a loss is Scott Polaski and who do you see replacing him on top line next season?
Trevor Frischmon (3:42 PM)
I don't know who could possibly replace him. He is a tremendous leader on our team. He is just a big, power forward who can skate really well. He's a big part of this team.
chris - Minneapolis
Does the scholl or Hockey team miss Lucia and his bad hair?
Trevor Frischmon (3:43 PM)
Not sure.. I wasn't here when he was around.
joe lakeville mn
how is thauwalds recovery coming along
Trevor Frischmon (3:43 PM)
He is doing real well. He does rehab almost every day and should be ready to go next year.
Mike McArty (Balad Air Base, Iraq)
Even though you have made it to the frozen four, do you guys feel like you deserved better seeding wise as now DU will get last change Thursday and the team with last change has won all the games
Trevor Frischmon (3:44 PM)
It's hard to say. We were pretty close throughout the year and I guess losing to them three times and only winning twice affected that.
Eric (Boulder, CO)
There's a chance here for Colorado to win back to back NCAA hockey championships. Whether it is you guys (hopefully) or DU, is it safe to say there a changing of the guard, or at the least that Colorado is becoming a hockey powerhouse as a state?
Trevor Frischmon (3:46 PM)
I'd have to say yes. Colorado is becoming a powerhouse.
Leonard (Aurora, CO) CC grad '95
Great goal to beat Michigan! What was the team's reaction after the refs called Michigan's third goal good? Good thing it wasn't the deciding goal.
Trevor Frischmon (3:47 PM)
It was a little bit of a diappointment. But for some reason it didn't affect us too much at all. It was just the circustances of the game. We knew it was do or die and that we had to just keep fighting.
Robert, Denver
Has the confusion between CU and CC caused you any problems?
Trevor Frischmon (3:49 PM)
No. Not really at all. I didn't even know about it much until this year when people started talking about it.
Paul (Grand Forks, ND)
Who would you rather play? UND or MN
Trevor Frischmon (3:50 PM)
I don't think we have a prefereance. We know Minnesota a little better but either would be a tough opponent and would be happy to play either. I have to run but thanks for the questions!
