After being signed as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2002, Drummond emerged as an immediate cornerstone in the Lions' offensive attack and was selected by his teammates as the recipient of the 2002 Mel Farr Rookie of the Year Award. After an outstanding 2004 season full of record-setting returns, Eddie was selected to the 2005 Pro Bowl.
