Buzzmaster (12:03 PM)
Hellllooooooo, sports fans! The Pulse will be underway in an hour but you can send your questions and comments now and we'll save them for our guests, and the best of the best will make it to TV.
Buzzmaster (1:01 PM)
All right, The Pulse is underway so let's chat it up, sports fans!
Scott (Tipp City, Ohio)
No pre-show chatter today?
Buzzmaster (1:02 PM)
Let's make up for it, shall we?
Buzzmaster (1:03 PM)
How many out there are preparing the couch, snacks and beverages for the Red Sox-Yankees game?
Scott (Tipp City, Ohio)
It's overrated all 3 games are nationally televised.
CHUCK , ST LOUIS MO
WHY DO WE ALWAYS HAVE TO HEAR ABOUT THE NY YANKEES AND THE BOSTON REDSOX?BELIEVE IT OR NOT, FROM THE MIDWEST TO THE WESTCOAST, WE REALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT TWO OWNERS TRYING TO BUY A CHAMPIONSHIP!!!! THAT IS NOT BASEBALL!!AND WE ARE TIRED OF ALWAYS SEEING THEM SHOWCASED!!
Ryan (San Diego)
I'm heating up the grill for that one sided rivalry of the Padres vs. the lowly Giants. GO PADRES!!!
Jay (NY)
I used to think that Boston was the little brother who was always jealous of his all-american big brother (New York) but it's really the entire Midwest that plays that role now.
Slyvia (Flagstaff, AZ)
I agree!!! This East coast bias sux! Who cares about two teams fighting for 3rd place in the AL East??? How about the D'Backs or Rangers or anybody?!?!?
Gregg (New Waterford)
I think They need to get off the Big Team Ban Wagon and Maybe Nationally Televise Two Top Ranked Teams like a White Sox- Baltimore game
Buzzmaster (1:22 PM)
Okay, Sergio Mora is up next...How many out there watched 'The Contender' to the end?
Anthony (Temecula, CA)
Sergio Mora is a guy with a lot of talent. I was pulling for him all through. I can't wait to see him in action.
Brandon (Toranto,Canada)
Sergio winning doesn't really surprise me all that much. I thought it would be close, I thought Manfredo would just edge it. I'll give you a better opinion when I get the fight.
Seth (Tenafly, NJ)
Sergio Mora is unstoppable. His effort, will, and determination has put him over the edge.
Buzzmaster (1:29 PM)
Anyone out there NOT like Sergio?
Jay (NY)
I think Sergio is going to be on the next Survivor if he signs with Burnett.
Jay (NY)
Did Mario Andretti just drive through the set? Anyone else hear that?
Buzzmaster (1:31 PM)
He drove right up to the edge of the set, Jay, to get ready for his segment.
James(Indiana)
I hope Mario's engine didnt stall like the time he attempted to help Micheal win the Indy 500.
Jeff (Palm Desert, CA)
I heard that! I'm glad someone else did. I thought I was losing it.
Scott (Tipp City, Ohio)
I was hoping it was the HOTTY Miss Danica driving by!
Buzzmaster (1:37 PM)
No such luck, Scott. Something tells me she's got something better to do today.
Buzzmaster (1:39 PM)
Remember, if you sent a question for Mario Andretti be sure to check out ESPNEWS after the break and see if Mario answers your question.
Jeff (Palm Desert, CA)
Mario Andretti is awesome! He isn't as good looking as Danica though.
Buzzmaster (1:39 PM)
Buzz agrees, but there must be someone out there who feels otherwise.
Jay (NY)
That shot to Prior was nasty...he'll be gone for the season if Cubs luck has anything to say about it.
Buzzmaster (1:43 PM)
Don't forget that College Football analyst Jim Donnan is up after Mario, so send in those BCS, playoff and coaching questions...
Gregg (New Waterford, Ohio)
I feel bad for Prior, Coming off the DL to get a shot off The elbow. He needs to get out of the Cubs Organization because it's causing him to have Very Bad Luck Injury Wise.
Gregg (New Waterford, Ohio)
Does anyone think that USC will fall from the No.1 spot this year or will it be a Dynasty within College Football?
Buzzmaster (1:52 PM)
After what's happend the last couple of years Buzz doesn't see a lot of reasons why that won't happen...
Joey (Fort Mill )
What do you think is going to be South Carolina's record under Steve Spurrier?
Buzzmaster (1:58 PM)
Buzz says Steve is good for a six-win season given what he's inheriting down there.
Seth (Tenafly, NJ)
It will be tough for any of these three coaches (Spurrier, Weis, and Willingham) to accomplish a lot during their first year at their new program.
Buzzmaster (1:58 PM)
Yup, cupboards are kinda bare for all those guys.
Gregg (New Waterford, Ohio)
4 win season
Seth (Tenafly, NJ)
For me, USC looks to be the favorite mostly because of Matt Leinart returning.
johnny (flint)
breaston for heisman
Scott (Tipp City, Ohio)
C.Weis is in for a long season at Notre Dame.
Corey Bay St Louis Miss
LSU will win it all. Just Joking
Mark (Vermillion, SD)
So if everyone agrees that USC is number one, who is number two?
Buzzmaster (2:05 PM)
Ohio State get's Buzz's vote...
Buzzmaster (2:06 PM)
Switching gears (pun intented), Sterling Marlin is going to be with us soon so send those racing questions and we'll save them up.
Buzzmaster (2:10 PM)
And don't forget, if you have a comment you'd like to get some feedback on go ahead and send that along, too.
Buzzmaster (2:13 PM)
Oh, and anyone who wants to sound off on Rickey Henderson can do that, too!
Gregg (New Waterford, Ohio)
Rickey is one of the Best ever. I don't think he should give it up I think That a team having a hard time getting Fans and Need a Speed Guy Should take a Chance. He maybe in his late 40's but he still has some speed and a lot of drawing power.
Seth (Tenafly, NJ)
Rickey Henderson just won't quit! He loves the game so much that he doesn't want to give it away yet.
thenextking (Indianna)
Ricky Hederson I would give him a spot on my team
Jeff (Palm Desert)
People are making too much noise about Ricky and Jerry Rice still playing. I wish half of the athletes in pro sports had the heart the they do. What a bizarre concept: Playing because of love for the game! Hopefully some of America's youth can learn from Ricky and Jerry instead of T.O.
Eli (Pittsburgh)
Ricky would be a good DH on a bad team like the Devil Rays
Scott (Tipp City, Ohio)
Rickey needs to give it up, he can't help a team cause Rickey is in it for Rickey and Rickey only not the team.
Buzzmaster (2:27 PM)
Diana Taurasi is coming up in a few, so let's hear what you have to say about the WNBA.
Seth (Tenafly, NJ)
Diana Taurasi is one of the best female athletes in the world.
EMT (Baltimore, MD)
I love Diana Taurasi. She was exciting to watch when playing for UCONN. She has so much dedication and strive to be the best.
Jeff (Palm Desert)
That poll question was a no brainer. If you're male and you didn't vote for Anna you don't have a pulse (thought I'd give your show some love with that one).
Gregg (New Waterford, Ohio)
I don't know what to say about the WNBA. I don't want to offend any fans but I can't watch girls Basketball. There Needs To be something more to draw in more viewers and as of right now I'd rather watch paint dry.
Seth (Tenafly, NJ)
Taurasi is a true leader.
Jeff (Palm Desert)
I agree with Gregg. Too many lay-ups!
Buzzmaster (2:36 PM)
Yeah, but isn't one of the complaints about the NBA that fundamentals have been abandoned? If you like seeing solid, team hoops the WNBA is where you want to be.
michael (westminster, md)
The WNBA has more pure shooters than the NBA. Dunking the ball is over-rated.
Scott (Tipp City, Ohio)
At least they hit foul shots and play fundamental basketball.
Marcus Johnson (Minot, ND)
The WNBA is nothing compared to the NBA. Lisa Lesie wouldn't be able to do squat against the aggressive defense.
Buzzmaster (2:40 PM)
That's not the point, Marcuse. Of course she would have trouble against men who have so much of a size advantage. We're talking about how women play against each other.
Scott (Tipp City, Ohio)
You are trying to compare apples to oranges. You are missing the point.
Buzzmaster (2:42 PM)
Thanks for getting Buzz's back, Scott.
Scott (Tipp City, Ohio)
No problem thats what we are here for Brother!
Michael (Grand Haven, MI)
The WNBA is great extension of the sport. I bet any of those woman can wip the floor with any of us.
Buzzmaster (2:48 PM)
Enough hoops, let's talk some football...Who out there thinks the Dolphins should bring Ricky Williams back into the fold? Is Ronnie Brown a better option?
Nick: (Ft. Mill, SC)
Ricky Williams doesn't deserve to be in the NFL.
Scott (Tipp City, Ohio)
I wonder if we all could get our jobs back if we flunked a drug test and then publically told everyone we still were using.
Buzzmaster (2:57 PM)
Not likely, Scott.
Austin (Manchester, TN)
Williams is too risky, he has to sit out for all the violations. He's got to pay the money back for breaching his contract, and who knows when he will go back to the mary jane. Ronnie Brown is the future for the dolphins.
El Greco (McLean, Va)
What do you think about Laimbeer going to the Knicks?
Buzzmaster (3:09 PM)
Who knows if it will actually happen, but reuniting with his former Pistons teammate would seem to be a good fit. By most accounts Laimbeer knows the game inside and out, and we all know based on his playing career that he can handle the media glare.
Jeff (Palm Desert)
I think he'll be an awesome NBA coach. Do you think anyone ( like Sprewell) would dare try and choke Bill Laimbeer?
ryan ( bad news, VA)
It does not matter who coachs the Knicks. As long as Isiah is the one making decisions, Red Auerbach could not coach this team into the playoffs.
Scott (Tipp City, Ohio)
He won a title in the WNBA and he is a former teammate of Isiah, and Phil is'nt going to coach the Knicks.
Jeff (Palm Desert)
What's up next BUZZMASTER?
Buzzmaster (3:19 PM)
ESPN Fantasy Sports guru Eric Karabell is gonna be here shortly. Want to see what our man thinks of your fantasy opinions? Send your fantasy predictions, your locks for the rest of the season, and we'll see what Eric thinks of your straegy.
Buzzmaster (3:21 PM)
Here's Buzz's stone-cold lock: Jake Peavy wins 20 games and posts a killer WHIP. Not exactly out on a limb, but seems pretty realistic.
matt (broadview hts)
buzzzzzzzzzzmaster
Buzzmaster (3:25 PM)
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttttttttttttt!!!!!!
Buzzmaster (3:30 PM)
Okay, you've all heard about it and now the man who brought you the 124-pound catfish will be here soon. What do you want to ask Tim Pruitt?
Ryan (San Diego)
I want to ask the fish catcher what he thinks abou the happenings in basebal!! Where are all the analysts, is he the fill in?
Buzzmaster (3:36 PM)
You missed baseball, Ryan. We're following along with "The Pulse" on ESPNEWS...Turn on the tube and join in the fun, man.
Buzzmaster (3:37 PM)
What's the biggest fish anyone out there has caught?
Gregg (New Waterford, Ohio)
580 lbs swordfish
Buzzmaster (3:39 PM)
Man, that's a whopper...
Gregg (New Waterford, Ohio)
I got it mounted on my wall
Seth (Tenafly, NJ)
The biggest fish that I ever caught was about 123 pounds less than Tim Pruitt. No joke!
Mark (Vermillion, SD)
I once caught a marlin while fishing in Mexico. It took nearly an hour to reel in.
Buzzmaster (3:51 PM)
The Pulse is drawing to a close so let;s close with some chatter amongst ourselves...Who's got a pick for the Indy 500?
Pat (Ohio)
I think Danica Patrick has it all won. She does have the media advantage.
Buzzmaster (3:54 PM)
Buzz goes with Dario Franchitti, because he has a cool name and is married to Ashley Judd.
Jeff (Hermosa Beach)
No one knows any names in the race.
Buzzmaster (3:55 PM)
Okay then, who thinks the Cubs can somehow stay in the race in the NL Central with all the injuries?
Buzzmaster (3:56 PM)
Cue chirping crickets...
Buzzmaster (3:58 PM)
Since it's a beautiful holiday weekend out there we're going to wrap a couple minutes early and let you all enjoy the sunshine. And don't forget, The Show is taking Memorial Day off, too, so we'll see you all back here first thing Tuesday for the Morning Quickie.
