Jackson was the top pick in the 2001 WNBA Draft. After two All-Star seasons, Jackson exploded in 2003, winning MVP honors and leading the WNBA in scoring at 21.2 points per game. Last season, Jackson again led the WNBA in scoring with 20.5 points per game and earning All-WNBA First Team honors for the second straight season.
Jackson has also helped her native Australia to two straight silver medals in the 2000 and 2004 Olympics.
