Growing Up NEXT with Summer Sanders

Sanders excelled in one of those sports, gymnastics, that parents today often enroll their kids in at very early ages. She was the most decorated U.S. swimmer at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, winning two gold medals, a silver medal and a bronze medal. That same year, Sanders led Stanford University to a NCAA championship.
Sanders has since gone on to host and report on a variety of television shows on NBC, ESPN, Nickelodeon and other channels. She has strong feelings about the role that sports can play in the development of children and will weigh in with her thoughts on this subject and more.
