Pete (Ann Arbor)
Who cares about college hoops?? Today's the biggest college FOOTBALL game of the YEAR!!! gO bLUE!!
THE PULSE (10:59 AM)
Alright, Pete, easy does it. OF COURSE, we'll be talking about the most intese rivalries ever to hit the gridiron. C'mon! Who do you think we are?? But we'll also be talking a little college hoops ... and some NBA as special guest Dennis Rodman will make an appearance.
THE PULSE (11:14 AM)
Sherri Coale and the OU Sooners are here in house as they gear up to play UConn. Send in your questions to them, now!
THE PULSE (1:01 PM)
It's 1 o'clock on the East side -- here we go!!
Andrew (Pittsburgh)
DENNIS RODMAN, I cant Wait!
THE PULSE (1:10 PM)
It's true. Dennis will be here. He'll be taking your questions so send 'em in now!
Andrew (Pittsburgh)
Hey Everyone, If Rodman were to come back to the NBA, which team do you think he'd fit best on?
J-P. (Ottawa, Canada)
Dennis Rodman with the Lakers... That I would pay to see.
Joe (Virginia Beach)
Why did Dennis Rodman leave the NBA in the first place? I remember the first time I saw him play while on San Antonio. I really enjoyed watching him. Then he went to the Bulls and in a couple of years it seemed like he went off the deep end. He became crazy and took upon an angry attitude. What happened?
Andrew (Pittsburgh)
If you asked me, I'd say Rodman to the Kings. He'd be a great fit with them.
Randy (Bay Minette, Alabama)
Where would Rodman like to play??? Only he knows where he want to play.I say Atlanta Hawks would love him
anselmo (va beach)
dennis, whats the word that you may come back? this came out like last year?
Suraj (Charlotte, North Carolina)
What is Dennis Rodman currently doing, if he's not playing basketball?
Marc (High'Ranch, Co)
Dennis, What is more important to you right now; getting back to basketball or continuing to make a public spectical out of yourself?
Ashley (Sacramento, CA)
Dennis, what do you think of the dress code? Do you think it's aimed at black players? Thanks!
Erik (San Dimas, CA)
For Dennis: Do you believe you were wrongly treated by David Stern and the NBA?
Benjamin (Mankato, MN)
Who would you compare to the bad boy Rodman from the current NBA?
Cary (Chicago)
Rodman should go play with LeBron, baby!
THE PULSE (1:32 PM)
Good questions here, folks. Let's see what he has to say!
adam (ontario)
Worm to the Raptors for sure they really need some toughness.
Jake (Valpo, Indiana)
What does this book have that the last few didnt? Why should we buy it?
THE PULSE (1:38 PM)
Did you see that up there in Ottawa, you're on TV!
Chris (Omaha)
How can he eat with that thing on his lip?
Dan (Nashville)
The Worm is like fine wine ? better with age!
THE PULSE (1:39 PM)
You're on TV, Dan!
Steve (Dallas)
The NBA needs some Rodman!
THE PULSE (1:39 PM)
You too, Steve!
Shaun Waters (Chicago, Illinois)
Hey Dennis would you consider trying out for the Bulls, if GM John Paxson asked, and the fact that you help bring three of the six championships here would you think about it since the Bulls lack a physical in the paint.
THE PULSE (1:40 PM)
You're on, Shaun
Dan (Carlsbad, CA)
Dennis... the last time I saw you, you were sitting in the corner of the Sand Piper (a bar in Laguna Beach) dressed up like an Eskimo!
THE PULSE (1:41 PM)
Very interesting tidbit there, Dan!
THE PULSE (1:41 PM)
Good questions there, SportsNation! Nice work with Rodman.
Fred (San Fran)
What else should we send in?
THE PULSE (1:42 PM)
Well, I need your thoughts, rants, raves and predictions on tomorrow's NFL action.
Victor alexandria,La
i think indianapolis will go undefeated. and win the super bowl.
Cary (Chicago)
The league officially has changed over when the Bengals vs. Colts is the marquee matchup of the week. Not too mention the 49ers & Packers are in last place. Amazing what a difference a decade makes.
Ben(elpaso tx)
how do we send emails to darren woodsen?
THE PULSE (1:50 PM)
Right here, BEN! Send 'em in now!!
Craig (Grand Rapids, MI)
Joey Harrington has one sub-par game...Any thoughts on if Harrington should be given one more shot or should Garcia start Sunday?
jeremy (saginaw)
seriously, why is mooch puttign garcia back in? what's your view on this whole situation in detroit after last week's performance?
Cary (Chicago)
You can never fault anyone for starting Jeff Garcia over Joey Harrington. They are in a catfight for the North Division crown.
Tim (Texas)
Do the Cowboys have an honest chance to win the Super Bowl this year?
SeaFan (Seattle, WA.)
Seahawks vs Panthers NFC Championship...your thoughts?
Victor (Alexandria,La)
Indy will go undefeated!
Mike San Antonio, Tx
I think the Vike are getting a bad rap. The teams they lost to are the Bengals, Bucs, Falcons, and the Bears. Do you think they are better than they get credit for.
Ben(el paso tx)
darren woodsen is one of the greatest safteys to ever play the game.
THE PULSE (1:58 PM)
Good stuff, NFL fans! Moving on to women's college hoops!
Glenn (San Francisco)
Coach Coach, Why arent both twins starting?
Josh (Norman, OK)
This is for Coach Coale. I'm sure that UConn will have players that match up better to the Paris twins, but do they have the manpower to keep them and the rest of our girls at bay for the full 60 minutes?
Luke (Johnson City, TN)
Coach Coale, I'm a huge Lady Sooners fan even since moving to Lady Vol country. The buzz around this year's team is very exciting, and with that in mind, I was wondering how this year compares to the Final Four season of 2002? How do the teams compare?
Dan (Lancaster, Texas)
Sherri, many people, including you, have made the comment that Courtney will usher in a new era of women's basketball. Do you worry that this might be used as bulletin board material against you or Courtney?
Todd (Dallas)
Sherri, Has the arrival of the Paris twins and the immediate dominant play of Courtney changed your expectations for the team this year? Also, how do you prepare your team to play in a hostile environment like you'll have at UConn where the visiting team almost never wins?
THE PULSE (2:00 PM)
Great stuff guys, let's see what she has to say!
THE PULSE (2:01 PM)
Hey, any NASCAR fans in here? We're going to do a quit hit after this. Any comments for me? Send 'em!
Victor (lexandria,La)
I don't watch NASCAR
THE PULSE (2:07 PM)
(Me neither) But we've got rivalry talk right around the corner.
THE PULSE (2:10 PM)
Ask Robert!
James (woodstock)
Going to a Nascar race, live, is one of the most exciting things you can do with your clothes on. You just don't get "IT" by watching television!
Donovon (Boca Raton, Florida)
With such a gas shortage they should stop all Hyrdo Carbon sports.. Indy, Nascar, Motor bike, and Drag racing
THE PULSE (2:14 PM)
Wow. Now THAT was an interesting exchange.
Jeremy (Boston)
Don't you think is't nearly impossible for Michigan to run against this Ohio defense?
Donovon Boca Raton Florida
Chris Carpenter is out for the game in Michigan. What a player to not have during the big game for Ohio State.
Neil (Nottingham, UK)
Michigans offense is struggling and Ohios D is playing well too, even after loosing Carpenter early in the game. I thought this game might be a close one but not too sure now!
Todd (Detroit)
Michigan is playing sooooo conservatively on defense. Get rid of those cushions and get in Ohio State's face or they are OSU is just going to pick their way down the field.
Woodson Jr. (San Jose, CA)
Michigan needs to get it together and beat Ohio State. If Henne keeps his head cool, watch out Buckeyes!
mike (san francisco)
Why is DirectTV blacking out Ohio State Michigan in San Francisco?
Bill Lambert (Spokane Wa.)
I am in Spokane Wa. and I cannot watch the Ohio State-Michigan game.
THE PULSE (2:18 PM)
Keep it here for updates, guys!
Keith, York PA
Why does the Big Ten get so much coverage. Every year the Big Ten is overrated and than when bowl season comes they prove it. They can't match up with the sec or acc or big 12. Just look at the number of national champions over the last 20 years. Only Penn state(2), Michigan and Ohio State have won national championships. Every season, teams like Michigan State, Purdue, Minnesota, and Iowa are ranked and than they bomb out. The Big Ten will only win maybe 2 bowl games again this year and they will stay say the Big Ten is so great. Overrated is more like it. Michigan was # 3 in the preseason poll, give me a break. That was a terrible mistake. Iowa, Minnesota and Michigan State didn't even deserve to be ranked.
THE PULSE (2:18 PM)
Whoa. Keith says, "no thanks."
Benji
What's the OSU-Mich Score??
THE PULSE (2:20 PM)
9-7 Buckeyes
Cavs Fan
What a nice turn around for the Cavs. I didnt think the team would mesh so early in the season. Larry Huges has step it up. Potential #3 team in next weeks power rankings.
Toby (Richmond,VA)
Virginia Tech is not a Rose Bowl candidate but if they win out there is no reason they shouldn't be an at large BCS team.
Adam (York, PA)
How bout Virginia Tech kicking UVA's butt? Vick and co. sure look good!
Rory (New York)
I just hope UVa can come back and beat VaTech... I'm a little biased because I'm a UVa student, but... I just don't like Marcus Vick.
Donald (NY)
Virginia Tech is not for real they got rocked by Miami when they were the favorite
THE PULSE (2:28 PM)
Alright, we're going to switch gears and talk college hoops for a minute here. Villanova coach Jay Wright is here. Send him your questions now!
Robert (Utica, NY)
JAY! Big East coaches Jim Boeheim and Jim Calhoun were just inducted into the Hall of Fame. What can you say about your prestigious collegues? What?s it like coaching against them?
Mike (Exton, PA)
Do you think Villanova over Georgetown in 1985 was the greatest upset in college hoops tournament history?
Roger (Wallingford, CT)
The biggest has produced recent big talents like Emeka Okafor and Carmelo Anthony. Who is today?s Big East, big name?
Patrick (Kentucky)
The Big East, now with 16 teams, how has the dynamic changed with the additions of Louisville, Marquette and the likes?
Walnuts (Jersey City, NJ)
For Jay Wright: I know it's very early but I noticed last night you went with a 7 man rotation. Isn't now the time to experiment with different rotations before you get into the bulk of your non-conference schedule, with Oklahoma coming up in two weeks?
Jim (Birmingham, AL)
Coach Wright: When will I see Shane Clark in Navy and White? Is the Texas game too soon to hope to have him playing meaningful minutes?
THE PULSE (2:30 PM)
Great questions, guys. Let's see what he has to say!
THE PULSE (2:57 PM)
Great stuff, now we'll go all college football from here on out. We're in the homestretch, one hour left of The Pulse. We'll flip the switch to the College GameDay chat room where you can hear from our analysts, and of course -- SOUND OFF!!
THE PULSE (2:58 PM)
We'll pull comments and questions from there for the show so keep sending 'em!
THE PULSE (3:42 PM)
Great stuff today, SportsNation. Great rivalries, I hope you were on the winning side of the fence ... and if you weren't, I hope you didn't bet the farm! We're out, see you next Saturday -- same time, same place!
