Chat with Mark Zupan
![]() |
When Mark Zupan was 18, he passed out after a night of drinking in the back of his best friend's pickup truck. His buddy, also drunk, got into an accident, launching Zupan into a nearby canal. After nearly 14 hours of hanging on for dear life, Zupan was rescued but suffered a broken neck and was unable to walk again.
Zupan completed a successful rehab and eventually found the sport that changed his life: Quad rugby.
Mark's athletic abilities are highlighted in the film Murderball -- the winner of the best documentary at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. Murderball depicts the trials and tribulations of the US Quad Rugby Team as they prepare for the 2004 Paralympic Games of Athens.
The official DVD release of Murderball is November 29, 2005. The DVD features Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O of MTV, the CNN Larry King Live interview, the Joe Soares update interview, player and filmmaker commentaries, deleted scenes, a behind the game look at Murderball, and more!
Send in your questions to Zupan now, then join him for the answers right here on Wednesday.
