Yo, wud up? You all ready for Tournament time? Brackets in? Get em in!
Ohm (12:02 PM)
Pete, we dancing kid... and you all better hope we don't get past UCLA, because if we do, Izzo will give Florida everything it can handle.
R.I.P. Nate Dogg. I guess all hooks will have to be auto-tuned from here on out.
Ohm (12:03 PM)
Chris, true dat! It's getting scary how young these rappers are when they are dying. I think Guru was like in his 40s as well. Nate Dogg could sing his butt off. RIP and always remember to Mount Up!
Ohm, give me a Yankee and a Met to lookout for in fantasy this season. A mid to late round pick please. Thanks!
Ohm (12:04 PM)
Rach, I actually have yet to do my fantasy baseball studying but plan to this weekend because I got a draft coming up. So I can't really answer that yet but I will say when it comes to David Wright, I'd consider him but only with low expectations. 30 and 30 might not happen.
Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)
What do you think of the NFL Suspending Players for Illegal Hits in the Neck & Head area?
Ohm (12:04 PM)
Chris, I didn't read up on that as closely because I was busy with Giants but I'm for whatever makes the sport safer.
Hey Ohm, what's your favorite NYC pub?
Ohm (12:06 PM)
JJ, hmm... not much of a pub guy. But I do like Blondies, the sports bar on Upper West, because that is where the Spartan bar is. I mostly hang out in lounges with friends from time to time. If you need a lounge with good old school hip hop dj's, I can recommend some... :)
I've read an article that said the Giants weren't placing a tender on Kiwi; does this mean he's going to be released? What you think about finally getting a stud MLB in the first round, and then finding a good OL in the later rounds?
Ohm (12:09 PM)
David, they did place a tender on Kiwi. An original round pick tender although it's a bit complicated but it has been reported that the compensation would be a second-rounder, not a first-rounder where he was originally drafted. The Giants want to keep him but at a reasonable price since he is coming off a neck injury. So maybe a one-year deal. If the new CBA rules that there is restricted free agency, that could benefit the Giants since they did tender Kiwi. I do think there are other teams that are interested in him if he hits unrestricted free agency. As for getting a MLB, there aren't really any stud MLB's in the first round according to the experts and not around at 19 where Giants draft, it appears. I think Giants may have to find one in later rounds. As for OL, the value is greatest where the Giants pick at 19. Plenty of OTs available at that point.
Tom (Dirty Jerz)
I read the article on how the Giants are suited for the lockout, and I was wondering if Eli or Tuck or Umenyiora have scheduled any team workouts or practices like I know other teams have.
Ohm (12:12 PM)
I talked to Tuck ( http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/columns/story?columnist=youngmisuk_ohm&id=6225641 ) the other day and nothing has been organized by him yet. He was planning on emailing teammates to tell them that there are places in New Jersey to work out at. He wants everybody to stay in shape so that the Giants can hit the ground running once lockout is over. But O'Hara and Tuck told me they are against organizing a practice because they don't want anyone getting hurt. If anyone gets hurt working out during lockout, they are responsible for their own injuries.
Ohm (12:13 PM)
So who did you guys pick for your Final 4 picks?
Ohm (12:17 PM)
Alright guys, thanks for the questions today. Good luck with your brackets this weekend and your teams you are rooting for!
