Nick Friedell (3:35 PM)
What's going on everybody? Let's get this chat rolling ...
Do you consider Noah/Gibson the best defensive big man combo in the NBA today?
Nick Friedell (3:36 PM)
I don't there's anybody better right now.
Matt Zagrean (Phoenix, AZ)
Will you please ask Tom Thibodeau why he will not try to get Jimmer Fredette even an inkling of playing time? Playing the way they do, Defense and rebounding, will keep them in a series with Miami and Indiana. It will not win the series against either of those opponents. I know Fredette isn't a guy who will score 20+ any given night but he has an incredible shooting ability that the Bulls do not possess. Why not try to work him in a bit into the rotation and see if he can give you an extra edge before the playoffs come? Either way you're not going to beat Miami in a 7 game series playing the way you do, so why not roll the dice with this kid and see what he can do?
Nick Friedell (3:41 PM)
I don't understand all the Jimmer love. He seems like a nice kid who can knock down some shots -- but this isn't LeBron James we're talking about. He has yet to prove he can play defense at a consistent NBA level. More than that, who is he going to take minutes from in the current Bulls' rotation. D.J. Augustin and Kirk Hinrich are both better players right now. Maybe Jimmer can make a difference next season if he stays in Chicago -- not right now unless somebody get hurt.
What do you love the most about your job?
Nick Friedell (3:42 PM)
I'm getting paid to watch basketball. It's pretty awesome.
Ryan (Chicago) [via mobile]
What's Benny like outside the costume??
Nick Friedell (3:43 PM)
Best wing man in Chicago.

After watching Indy vs Miami Wednesday, I believe Heat will once again prevail in the East but I do not think the Heat is as good as it was last year. With that being said, I see the West bringing the title to their side this year. My choice the Spurs. Thoughts?
Nick Friedell (3:48 PM)
If there's a team that beats the Heat this year I think it's the Spurs -- I still think the Heat will win again this year though.
Hetal (San Fran)
Who would be tougher for the bulls in the playoffs, the wizards or the nets?
Nick Friedell (3:50 PM)
I'd say the Nets just because of the experience of Pierce and Garnett (assuming both are relatively healthy) I think the Bulls could beat either of those teams though.
Scott [via mobile]
What do you see happening this offseason? Will they be content with two first round picks and mirotic?
Nick Friedell (3:52 PM)
I'd be very surprised if both first round picks end up with the Bulls next year. Remember, they could trade one or stash one away in Europe for a couple years.
Which is more likely, Taj winning 6th man or Noah winning Defensive player of the year? I think Howards recent injury is definitely going to help Noah?s chances and I would almost be disappointed if they both didn?t win at this point.
Nick Friedell (3:56 PM)
I think they are both going to win those awards. I also think Thibs has a strong chance as coach of the year if the Bulls keep winning.
Tony (Mendota, IL )
You are in Vegas and have $1000, you have the '96 Bulls vs. Any Heat team in the last three years. The spread is Bulls -2.5...where's your money going?
Nick Friedell (3:58 PM)
The Bulls every time. They have MJ. Scottie could slow down LeBron.
Dan (Stuck At Work)
I'm heading to Wrestlemania XXX in New Orleans next week where do you recommend to eat while there?
Nick Friedell (4:00 PM)
Jacque Imo's. One of the best restaurants I've been to on the road.
Chris (Chicago) [via mobile]
Is it just me or does Indy not scare the Bulls. I think the Bulls could beat them in a 7 game series. Especially if Indy has trouble scoring like they sometimes. The Bulls have to think this way too right?
Nick Friedell (4:00 PM)
The Bulls aren't scared of the Pacers at all. I don't know if they can beat them -- but they definitely aren't scared of them at all.
How do you think the NBA will look in next few years? LBJ and Melo teammates? Love/Westbrook combo in LAL? Good for league?
Nick Friedell (4:03 PM)
I think the league is as strong as it's been in well over a decade because of the star power of LeBron and Durant.
Deven (New York, NY)
Is Joel Embiid making the right decision to enter the draft now, despite the fact that he didn't play in the tournament?
Nick Friedell (4:07 PM)
Any player who can be a lottery pick is making the right decision. Period.
Who is your #1 pick right now in draft?
Nick Friedell (4:11 PM)
If it were me, I'd still take Jabari number one. I would be very hesitant to take a big man who is already dealing with back problems.
Rob (Chicago) [via mobile]
If you could choose, would you rather have Melo or the first pick in the draft?
Nick Friedell (4:12 PM)
Melo. In a heartbeat. This draft doesn't have the superstars that everybody thought it would.
You would seriously take Melo at 20 mil/yr over Parker or Wiggins on a rookie contract?
Nick Friedell (4:14 PM)
Absolutely. Parker or Wiggins don't get the Bulls that much closer to a title in the next couple seasons.
Nick Friedell (4:15 PM)
All right everybody -- I am out of here. I will talk to you next week from the UC. If you're at a game this week come over and say hello.
