Bryan Broaddus (11:42 AM)
Hey guys...sorry about the late start here...Coach Garrett was speaking to the media just a bit ago...lets get started.
Eric (Billings, Montana)
Bryan, What's the Cowboys biggest priority in the draft next year? O Line or finding a playmaker at safety?
Bryan Broaddus (11:44 AM)
I really do believe that the staff can go in a number of directions. Their board will mostly likely be heavy with defensive players to start and will probably have the most value. I think its important that they address the needs at defensive line.

Mr Broaddus. How come you are always as late to this chat as MBIII is to the hole? Just kidding and Merry Christmas. My question, why is everyone down on Beuhler. His overall numbers are not that bad. And he is improving. He kicking at about a 75% rate which I believe is above the league average.
Bryan Broaddus (11:47 AM)
I have been late and I have sorry about that...I have never been a Buehler fan so I will try and be consistent here. He is kicking better than I thought he would but there still is too many times where he lines up and I have no clue if he is going to make the kick or not. I will say this, there are those on this staff that feel the same way.
Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)
What will the Dallas Cowboys finish the season with?
Bryan Broaddus (11:49 AM)
I feel that they will win at Arizona and have a chance to win at Philly if the Eagles are set with their playoff seeding. If Eagles are playing for something I feel it will be tough for the Cowboys to win there.
Jimbo Murphdog (B-Ton)
Tony Romo on the IR? Thoughts
Bryan Broaddus (11:51 AM)
Romo should have gone on IR weeks ago...with the way the injury was, there was no way that he was going to be ready to play. The more folks you talked to, the more it became a joke. The smart thing was done, he just needed to heal.
Kiper said the Boys may draft a 3-4 DE in the top 10. Is that a position that's worth drafting with a top 10 pick even if there is a stud?
Bryan Broaddus (11:53 AM)
Again I believe that their board will be defensive heavy and the best players will probably be those on the defensive line which in my view is a need.
Eric (Billings, Montana)
There was a lot of talk earlier in the season that the Colts will release Bob Sanders in the offseason, so despite his injury history will Jerry open up the checkbook to sign the playmaker he's been looking for?
Bryan Broaddus (11:54 AM)
I know that Bob Sanders is a rare player but when you are signing free agents to large deals, health is always a concern. When he plays, he is great, when he doesn't its a large ticket to handle.
Craig, Lindsay, Ontario [via mobile]
Was just kidding with the late comment. Couldn't pass up the shot at MBIII. And does anybody really know if any kicker will ever make the kick. If you did, you could either be a rich gambler or a well known psychic. Anyway, why has Miles been so underwheling this year? Too much expected or are the D's focusing on him that much. If so, that should now change with how Wittem has been lighting it up?
Bryan Broaddus (11:59 AM)
I was asked yesterday on Twitter if I would trade Miles for Larry Fitzgerald. I would do it in a heart beat. There are times when I study tape that Miles is open but Kitna will not throw him the ball. It always appears that Miles is covered and Kitna throws him the ball anyways and that is what we see. Miles sees over the top coverage but so does Andre Johnson, Fitzgerald and others but they make plays. I really believed that Miles was going to have a huge year but that just hasn't happened.
Traditionally, what is the easiest position to replace using free agency as opposed to the draft?
Bryan Broaddus (12:02 PM)
Thats a very good question...teams have had good luck with inside offensive linemen...mainly at guard. I would not be one bit surprised that once this CBA is cleared up that the Cowboys take a hard look at that market inside.
Jeff (Dayton, Ohio)
Hi Bryan, When Dallas looks at OL in the draft. Should they look at an OT that can fit the RT spot or just get the best OT one they can then figure out the right/left sides later?
Bryan Broaddus (12:05 PM)
I think they need to get a guy that can play right now. If the player can play on the left side that is a bonus. Doug Free has done a fine job at left tackle and will probably do so for many years. They want to get more athletic so I can't see them settling on a right tackle only.
Can Barry Church start eventually?
Bryan Broaddus (12:10 PM)
It was nice to see Barry Church play last week. In talking with him yesterday at his locker he said it was the worst game that he had ever had tackling and he wasn't lying. You will only know if he can be that starter the more he plays, thats how they found out about Doug Free last season.
Jim Melson (Dallas)
If Jason Garrett is the Head Coach next year what changes in the coaching staff will he make?
Bryan Broaddus (12:12 PM)
If Garrett is named the next head coach, I would keep an eye out for what happens in Miami on that staff. If there are changes there, some of those coaches could sure end up here.
Why all the talk about another OT, when the team is suppose to be high on Sam Young? They should take a guy that they can move in to OG and then out, like they did in the old days.
Bryan Broaddus (12:14 PM)
I like Sam Young but if you have a chance to draft a top 10 tackle, I think you sure have to look at making that move.
How would you rate the Cowboys scouting department? Jeff Ireland gets a lot of praise for what he did here, but he had some major misses too. Part of the game.
Bryan Broaddus (12:17 PM)
I worked with most of these guys in the scouting department here. Hard working group, know they have a huge job ahead. Mistakes are not allowed this time around. A lot of pressure there but they are ready to try and retool this team.
Bryan Broaddus (12:18 PM)
