DeMarco is here!
Matt (Minnesoda)
Did you ever imagine you would have a great rookie season like you did?
DeMarco Murray (3:30 PM)
I knew I would have some success, but I didn't know it would go that well. But I was blessed to have good coaches and once I got the opportunity, I ran with it...literally.
Andre (Canada)
What's the best part about playing for an owner like Jerry Jones?
DeMarco Murray (3:31 PM)
Just being around and being a Cowboys fan growing up with my family, having the Cowboys in my home, because of everyone being fans, it was awesome to be a part of such a prestigious organization.
Neal (DC)
what was your favorite memory of those Red River Rivalry games?
DeMarco Murray (3:31 PM)
I would say the atmosphere. It was second to none. The fans made those games so much fun and the competition every game, no matter what our records were or where we stood, that game was like a national championship game.
Yodel (OKC)
Who was the better quarterback Landry Jones or Sam Bradford?
DeMarco Murray (3:32 PM)
Definitely Sam. He's one of my best friends. Landry isn't far behind. But to me Sam was a better QB.
Eric J. Gilman (Wichita Kansas)
I am a huge Cowboys fan and OU fan. What is the best thing about being a part of both groups?
DeMarco Murray (3:34 PM)
Definitely I would have to say playing for both is such an honor with such great history and history at the running back position. You always get the best games with OU-Texas, Cowboys-Giants. And you're always on primetime TV. You have a huge, huge fan base no matter where you go. It's an honor to play for two great programs.
Bob (Canada)
If Tony Romo and the whole offensive team stays healthy then this team can be scary right. The defense is already terrific
DeMarco Murray (3:35 PM)
Yeah, we have no control over injuries. It's all a part of God's plan. If everyone can stay healthy, we can have a good team. We have some playmakers on the offensive side of the ball to go with Rob Ryan's great defense.
Jon (Fairfield, CA)
Why did you choose Oklahoma?
DeMarco Murray (3:35 PM)
Because Coach Stoops was a great coach. They had a lot of great history at RB and they're known for winning championships.
Tony (Richmond, CA)
How much Bedlam trash talk takes place in the locker room between you and Dez Bryant?
DeMarco Murray (3:36 PM)
Last year it was a lot, especially with Oklahoma State having a great year. He was pretty pumped about that and when they beat us I didn't hear the end of it.
Derrin (Plano, TX)
Have the fans in Texas forgiven you for dashing down the sidelines for GW touchdown, and breaking their heart your freshmen year, now that your in Big D with the Cowboys?
DeMarco Murray (3:36 PM)
Yeah, they've forgiven me. They've definitely welcomed me with open arms here. I'm happy to be a part of the Cowboys and glad they have me here.
STEVE HEINDL (LAKEPORT,CA)
First, how is the ankle and do you think you can be the workhorse for the Cowboy's running game this coming up year?
DeMarco Murray (3:37 PM)
The ankle is doing great. I'll be able to do whatever the coaches want me to do.
Alex (Anaheim)
Who do you enjoy beating the most?
DeMarco Murray (3:38 PM)
I definitely don't look at one team as a rival. Philly, the Giants, the Redskins are all hard games. We lost to the Giants and the Eagles twice last year, so there's no room to talk on that end.
Spencer (okc)
what do u think of this years Sooner Squad?
DeMarco Murray (3:39 PM)
This year's Oklahoma team will be good. Landry is coming back. I haven't paid too much attention in the offseason with the recruits as I've been busy, but Oklahoma will always be good no matter what.
Spencer (okc)
All the criticism Tony Romo gets, how much do u think is deserved?
DeMarco Murray (3:40 PM)
I can definitely say he's one of the strongest players mentally that I know. But that's how it's going to be as the QB of the Dallas Cowboys. No one listens to the pats on the back nor the negativity. We just work hard.
Mike (Work)
Based on what you've seen at OTA and offseason workouts, who is poised for a breakout year in 2012?
DeMarco Murray (3:40 PM)
It felt great. It was great to get a full year under my belt with all of the camps and OTAs. My body is feeling great and we're working good.
Kevin (Minn)
biggest game on OU's calendar during your time?
DeMarco Murray (3:41 PM)
Texas was always our biggest game throughout the year, along with Oklahoma State.
Caleb (Georgia)
How would you rank yourself as a fantasy RB this year?
DeMarco Murray (3:42 PM)
If you want to win, you better pick me No. 1 overall.
Don (Dallas Tx)
Do you believe this years offense will incorporate you in their passing game and have they taken note, or addressed that giving you the ball is a priority and that you are a playmaker with the ball in the open field?
DeMarco Murray (3:43 PM)
They're definitely aware of my receiving skills. I'm ready if they want to put me out there to use my receiving skills. Whatever they want me to do, I'll do it.
DeMarco Murray (3:43 PM)
Thanks for taking time out of your day to come on here and chat with me. I enjoyed chatting with you. Have a blessed day.
