Pick your poison -- Cobb had four seasons with 11.0 WAR. In 1911, he set career bests in RBIs and runs (147), leading AL in both. Also led in steals (83), hits, doubles, triples and OPS. Named MVP.
Cecil Fielder nearly won MVP honors even though Rickey led AL in OPS as a leadoff hitter. Scored a league-best 119 runs in 136 games, swiped 65 bases and hit 20 of his 28 HRs on the road. Deserved a Gold Glove.
