Pitino no fan of social media
Rick Pitino doesn't think much of athletes and other sports figures being on social media -- he said that every hour on Twitter and Facebook and the like ''poisons their minds.'' Strong words, and backed up by policy: Pitino has banned his players from tweeting, although by their own admission they use forms of social media at least four hours per day. We couldn't imagine our lives without it -- we'd tell you how many social media-related tabs we have open right now, but it's honestly embarrassing. More than three, let's put it that way.
2013-14 college basketball forecast
We asked the college basketball experts at ESPN.com to predict this season's Final Four, and a few patterns emerged. Teams with highly regarded freshmen, such as Kentucky, Kansas and Duke, are widely favored to dance all the way to Texas. But so is Oklahoma State, led by unanimous preseason first-team All-American Marcus Smart. And Michigan State, Arizona and Louisville are all seen as teams with enough talent to contend.
