NFL upholds Josh Gordon's suspension

Josh Gordon's appeal of his one-year suspension for violation of the league's substance abuse policy has been denied, meaning the Cleveland Browns will be without the Pro Bowl wide receiver for all of 2014. The decision comes at a time when the NFL's disciplinary philosophy is under scrutiny, especially in light of Ray Rice's two-game suspension after an offseason arrest for domestic violence. The move also comes on the same day an NFL Nation survey showed players agree with Barack Obama's stance on marijuana.

Josh Gordon arrested for DWI

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon was arrested on a DWI charge over the weekend, adding to his long list of off-field issues that have plagued him since college. Some are calling for the Browns to release Gordon, while others are arguing that would be a meaningless move as he is likely to be in rehab all season anyway and would be quickly re-signed by another team for the 2015 season.

What should the Browns do? Do you come at the topic with experience dealing with individuals suffering from substance abuse issues?
