Joel Embiid suffers foot injury

Joel Embiid might have suffered a big setback leading up to the NBA draft, as he sustained a foot fracture sometime in the past few days and requires surgery. He's considered to be the front-runner for the Cavaliers' No. 1 pick, but teams have come to regret taking otherwise-talented players with complicated injury histories -- just look at the much-delayed career of Greg Oden as a prime example. It might end up being that the Cavaliers go with a safer bet in Jabari Parker or Andrew Wiggins.

Cavaliers win NBA draft lottery

The Cleveland Cavaliers didn't enter Tuesday's NBA draft lottery with many karma points. Turns out they didn't need them. For the second straight year and third time in four years, Cleveland earned the No. 1 overall pick. It gives the Cavs -- who had a 1.7 percent chance of earning the selection -- the right to choose between Andrew Wiggins, Joel Embiid and Jabari Parker. It also gives non-Cavs fans the right to wonder what if ... and question whether the NBA needs a change.

Should Joel Embiid leave Kansas?

According to ESPN college basketball Insider Jeff Goodman, it is not a lock that Kansas' super freshman Joel Embiid enters the NBA draft after this season. The 7-foot center says he's not quite sure he's ready to jump to the NBA, but that he'll have to seriously consider all of his options once the time comes. Part of his deliberations will surely include the fact that he could be a projected top-3 pick. What would you do SportsNation?
