Richard Seymour
1. How hard should the NFL hand of justice "slap" Richard Seymour?
This probably wasn't the kind of hit to the head the NFL envisioned disciplining. Richard Seymour decked Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger after the latter threw a touchdown pass and moved in the direction of the veteran defensive tackle. Does Seymour's ejection suffice as punishment, or is a suspension warranted?
- "As a Steelers fan, I have little doubt that if a grown man like Seymour hits another man with an open hand, that man SAID something that he shouldn't have said. Ben should know better." -- SN commenter Temple3

The Celtics and Cavs, warming up for their battle in the East this season, brawled in their final preseason game.
What do you think of Richard Seymour's Raiders playoffs prediction?
Oakland is 2-4 but only one game out of the wild-card chase. Despite the coach and quarterback turmoil, Seymour is confident in his teammates.
What do you think of a showy two-point conversion in a blowout?
QB Will Briscoe completed a behind-the-back pass for a two-point conversion against Zachary in a 58-0 romp in Louisiana high school football.

Is Memphis a good fit for Allen Iverson?
A.I., using that newfangled Twitter service, said Wednesday that he's going to play for the Grizzlies. One fan predicted a team that averages zero assists.

If you're going to sign a guy to a six-year, $63 million contract, do it the day after a team gave the same contract to a quarterback who never started a game in college.
A moral of limited use in your everyday life? Perhaps, but that's apparently the lesson SportsNation is offering in the wake of the Ravens' keeping pass-rusher extraordinaire Terrell Suggs in the fold for the next six seasons (hypothetically, at least, given the nature of NFL contracts; let's just say voters aren't sure he'll be around in 2015).
But if the 'Nation thinks Suggs is a safer investment than Matt Cassel, does it mean he's one of the best pass-rushers in the NFL? Because if that's the only qualification, Citibank might be one of the NFL's best pass-rushers.

“D. Ware is smiling from ear to ear right now. He should send Suggs a thank you card.

“That's a lot of pressure to perform. You know the more you earn the more the company and people expect from you, except if you're a CEO of a company that deals with mortgages, stocks, or any other financial institution.
