Brandon Browner treated fairly?
Former Pro Bowl cornerback Brandon Browner was reinstated by the NFL, but still must serve four more games of a suspension brought on by a violation of the league's substance-abuse policy. Browner, a free agent after spending the past three seasons with the Seattle Seahawks -- the last of which was cut short by injury, then his suspension -- was initially banned a year for marijuana use. He is a free agent and can sign with anyone as early as Tuesday. Did the NFL do right by Browner? Would you want your favorite team to sign him this offseason?
Seattle still best in the NFC?
Record-wise, not one NFL team can match that of the Seattle Seahawks through 12 weeks. But there's some bad news in the Pacific Northwest. Cornerback Brandon Browner is going from a likely mid-December return date (groin injury) to facing a one-year suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. This news broke a day after a report that fellow DB Walter Thumond III is facing a four-game suspension for violating the same policy. With these losses, is Seattle still the best in the conference? What about the NFL?
