The protracted wait for Derrick Rose to return to form just might be over.

The Chicago Bulls point guard and onetime MVP is practicing with Team USA right now ahead of the FIBA Basketball World Cup and, well, let's just say Finland and New Zealand probably aren't looking forward to defending this:

Meanwhile, if he can start hitting 3s at the rate of the other guy in this final video, the Bulls might just be Eastern Conference favorites -- even over that other contender on the American side of the Great Lakes (note: not the Bucks).

We don't know a lot about Shelby McEwen, but we can say two things with absolute certainty. One: he has absolutely massive ups and can dunk from something like a mile away from the rim ...

... and, two: he's still in high school. Seriously, that'd be an insane dunk coming from someone in the NBA, but from a high schooler? My goodness. Where do you even go from there? We award this dunk all the points.

No ''I'' in Team USA hoops?

It has become a regular occurrence to see NBA players deciding against playing for Team USA for a myriad of reasons, ranging from legitimate injuries to simple lack of interest. Managing director Jerry Colangelo calls it a ''broken record'' problem and it played out again over the weekend with Kevin Love bowing out amidst swirling trade rumors that have him headed to Cleveland in the not-too-distant future.

However, Team USA coach Mike Krzyzewski will still have a strong core, including three players from the 2012 gold medal team from Beijing (Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant and James Harden) as well as a budding superstar in Paul George.

Does the roster shuffling make you nervous about Team USA's ability to retain the gold medal? And before we get ahead of ourselves, what about winning the FIBA Basketball World Cup? That would eliminate the need to participate in the qualifying tournament next summer.

After Stage 18 of the Tour de France, Polish rider Bartosz Huzarski's legs looked like something out of a horror movie:

Cyclist Vein LegsFacebook/Bartosz Huzarski

Huzarski's viral vascularity garnered so much attention -- including chatter about doping allegations -- that he updated his initial Facebook post with the following statement:

"I did not expect that picture of my legs would cause the confusion it did. For me it's totally not a revelation, because I can see this view -- maybe not everyday -- but still often, especially after a hard race at high temperature. People write and think different things, that is impossible, that is not normal, it is unhealthy, refer to doping, etc. Of course I will not have legs like Victoria's Secret models, or Mary from a nearby vegetable shop ... Unfortunately it does not work like that and what you see in the picture below is not unhealthy."

You can check out Huzarski's original upload, including his most recent message, here.
