Ohm (2:59 PM)
Hey guys, what's up?
Rich (New Jersey)
Mike Sullivan is heading to Tampa Bay, who'll do you think will replace him? And which receivers won't be back with the Giants?
Ohm (3:00 PM)
Rich, I don't know what they will do to replace Sully. They could do it from within. I suspect they are in no rush right now. We will see Jerry and TC next week at the Combine. As for which receivers might not be back... well, Manningham is a UFA and could get a big contract from eslewhere. I think Devin Thomas and Michael Clayton are also FAs too.
Pete (MI)
Sparty sucks.
Ohm (3:01 PM)
Last I checked, #8 in the country and continuing to move up the rankings.
Joe (MI)
I don't care if they won the Superbowl, the Giants suck.
Ohm (3:02 PM)
Giants fans can respond back to you. I assume you are a Lions fan, Joe?
Paco (Mexico)
I like tacos!
Ohm (3:02 PM)
Tacos, yum.
Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)
What College Football Players do you think will be Perfect fits for the Giants?
Ohm (3:03 PM)
Chris, I haven't even really begun to get up on my draft players yet. Will be at the Combine next week. I am sure there are a lot of them. Just from watching MSU as much as I do though, DT Jerel Worthy is a good up and comer inside. Giants got some DTs but I think they will take best talent available at the end of the first round. Worthy could be gone by then but could go in that vicinity.
Michael C. (Westport, CT)
Loved your coverage all year, and have an offbeat question. You have such an interesting name. Can you tell us its origins?
Ohm (3:05 PM)
Thanks Michael. I'm Thai-American. The name has two meanings. One, it is a name of three Gods in Indian. The second, it means the resistance of electricity in English. My father is an engineer so he liked that name as well.
LL (MI)
OHMIE, Hello my friend, I got an extra ticket to the game this saturday to watch the BIG BLUE crush the buckeyes this weekend.Interested? Just holla my friend!!! Thanks buddy!!!
Ohm (3:06 PM)
LL, you talking about the Wolverines? You won't catch me at a Wolverines game. A win by U-M would help State in the standings. But MSU gets OSU again on Senior Day so hopefully MSU can take care of business on its own.
Ohm (3:06 PM)
But thanks for the invite. LOL. Ann Arbor?
Danny C (NY)
Do you think Osi is staying? If not, could he land with the Jets?
Ohm (3:07 PM)
Osi is under contract for another season. If he goes anywhere, it's likely because the Giants will trade him. I don't see them trading him to the Jets, though, if they were to deal him.
alau53 (long island)
welcome ohm..so glad gmen drafting #32..do you think they'll draft a safety like they did after '08 super bowl
Ohm (3:09 PM)
Alau53, I think they will probably stick to drafting best player available. But safeties, tight ends, defensive tackles, defensive ends, offensive linemen, perhaps a corner and sometimes running backs are often taken at the end of the round. We'll see. They can use another defensive back. Deon Grant is a free agent but they do have Sash but can always use depth. I think they need corner more. Aaron Ross is a FA. TT is a FA. Lots of corners coming off surgery, etc.
SPARTAN (NJ)
What are the Giants going to get for Osi, and who are they going to get it from?
Ohm (3:10 PM)
Spartan, what is thy profession? LOL. There's no guarantee the Giants are going to trade Osi. They kept him last year and he played. But he probably will want a new deal or to be traded to someone that will pay him.
Alex (Anaheim)
What's the #1 draft need for the Giants?
Ohm (3:11 PM)
Obviously they need a tight end. But I am not so sure if that is their number one area to address in the draft. I'd say offensive line, cornerback, running back, linebacker.
Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)
What does the Giants Need to Address in the 2012 NFL Draft?
Ohm (3:12 PM)
Just kind of answered that but again, tight end, offensive line, cornerback, running back, perhaps more depth on defensive line and linebacker.
Newt (Jacksonville)
I'm a little disappointed that the Giants didn't do a remake of the Super Bowl Shuffle. It's been 27 years a?? it's time to bring it back. Fortune favors the bold, Ohm ...
Ohm (3:16 PM)
Newt, LOL! I don't think teams do those dances anymore. But they were fun while they lasted. Newt, you got "I got a ring" from Andre Brown and Cruz doing the salsa at the Grammys. That's enough for you! LOL!
Ohm (3:17 PM)
Alright guys, I guess that's all the questions I got for today. Thanks for stopping by! Have a good weekend.
