Vote: Do you care about the Indianapolis 500?


The Indianapolis 500 was known as the "greatest spectacle in racing" long before Danica Patrick got behind the wheel of a race car, but the moniker seems to have taken on a whole new meaning this year.

Viewed by many as a floundering sporting institution in the wake of the IRL-CART split and the growth of NASCAR's popularity, the Indy 500 is back in the headlines this May, thanks in large part to the presence of Patrick in Row 2. So will Patrick's popularity spark greater interest from casual fans? Will she win the race? And is the Brickyard still home to auto racing's biggest prize?
