Omaha in June. It may not sound like a premier vacation getaway, but for a college baseball fan it is as good as it gets.

The eight most powerful teams in the country are set to square off in the College World Series, kicking off on Friday, June 17 (7 p.m. ET, ESPN2) with Arizona State vs. Nebraska. Baylor, Florida, Oregon State, Tennessee, Texas and Tulane round out the field.

Oregon State is making its first appearance in the Series since 1952 while Texas is back for the fifth time in six years and a record 32nd time overeall. The Longhorns also are the only team from this year's field that made it to Omaha last year.
