| A 19-year age minimum would have sent LeBron James to college instead of the NBA for the 2003-04 season. |
Players will now be required to be 19 years of age before draft day or be ineligible for the draft. Some say it's an unfair restriction on players who feel they're ready for the rigors of NBA basketball and the life that goes with it, while others say it is in the best interest of everyone involved to make high school players wait a year.
What do you think? How would you feel if someone felt you were qualified for a multi-million dollar job but you were barred from accepting it because you weren't at least 19 years old? Is this about protecting young players or NBA veterans? Is the age limit a race issue? Tell us how you feel about the NBA's new rule! Vote now, SportsNation!
