Vote: What does it take to be MVP?

In a sport obsessed with statistics, the annual debate on how to best quantify "value" rages on unabated when it comes to MVP voting.

Just what is an MVP? The player with the most prodigious numbers in the league, as when Andre Dawson (right) won for the last-place Cubs in 1987? Or the player who meant the most to his team's playoff run? And where do pitchers, last represented by Dennis Eckersley in 1992, fit in the voting?

Help us settle the debate on what makes someone an MVP, and then vote for this year's winners!
