The latest development in the positive steroid test that led to Palmeiro's suspension earlier this summer is a report that he may have implicated a teammate during a grievance hearing before his suspension was announced. According to an unnamed source familiar with the unsuccessful grievance, Palmeiro said vitamin B-12 he received from Miguel Tejada could have played a role in his positive test.
