A year after staging a seven-game epic of their own, the Astros and Cardinals meet again for a place in the World Series. The Cardinals eased into the NLCS with a sweep of the Padres, while an 18-inning marathon meant the Astros played the equivalent of five full games in polishing off the Braves in four. But with a few days of rest before Game 1 on Wednesday, both teams should enter the series at close to full strength.
