Vote: Does the NBA need a dress code?

Most NBA players can afford to stock their wardrobes with whatever clothes strike their stylistic fancy, but they'll all have a little less choice when it comes to what they put on this season.

On Monday, the league announced a new minimum dress code that will go into effect for the start of the regular season on Nov. 1. Included in the code are guidelines for what players are expected to wear when conducting team or league business, as well as strict guidelines on appropriate attire for players on the bench but not in uniform for games.

So what's this all about, SportsNation? Are you bothered by what players like Allen Iverson (right) wear? Is the NBA trying to fix an image problem? Or is this all much ado about nothing?

NBA's definition of "business casual" attire: A long- or short-sleeved dress shirt (collared or turtleneck) and/or sweater. Dress slacks, khaki pants or dress jeans. Appropriate shoes and socks, including dress shoes, dress boots, or other presentable shoes, but not including sneakers, sandals, flip-flops or work boots.
