Vote: GMAC Bowl

Like the sweet smell of pine trees, the good cheer of friends and family and the horrendous parking at the shopping mall, college football bowl games are a staple of the holiday season. And while the four BCS games control the championshp picture, the other bowls often offer up the season's most memorable moments and fantastic finishes.

When: Dec. 21, 8 p.m. ET (ESPN)

The Game: In its seventh year, the GMAC Bowl will be played at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala. Among notable alumni are LaDainian Tomlinson, who led TCU to victory in the inaugural edition of the game in 1999 and Byron Leftwich, who led Marshall to victory in the highest-scoring bowl game in history in 2002. It now welcomes representatives from the MAC and Conference USA.

The Teams: UTEP (8-3, 5-3) finished in a tie for third in Conference USA. Toledo (8-3, 6-2) finished in a tie for first in the MAC but did not qualify for the conference title game.
