Like the sweet smell of pine trees, the good cheer of friends and family and the horrendous parking at the shopping mall, college football bowl games are a staple of the holiday season. And while the four BCS games control the championshp picture, the other bowls often offer up the season's most memorable moments and fantastic finishes.

When: Dec. 28, 4:30 p.m. ET (ESPN)

The Game: In its ninth year, the MPC Computers Bowl will be played on the distinctive blue turf at Bronco Stadium in Boise, Idaho. For the fourth time, but the first since 2002, hometown Boise State will fill one spot, taking on a representative from the ACC. This will be the third consecutive game in which a team from the ACC will travel to Boise.

The Teams: Boise State (7-1, 9-3) finished tied for first in the WAC with Nevada. Boston College (8-3, 5-3) finished tied for fourth in the ACC.
