Vote: Emerald Bowl


Like the sweet smell of pine trees, the good cheer of friends and family and the horrendous parking at the shopping mall, college football bowl games are a staple of the holiday season. And while the four BCS games control the championshp picture, the other bowls often offer up the season's most memorable moments and fantastic finishes.

When: Dec. 29, 4:30 p.m. ET (ESPN)

The Game: In its fourth year, the Emerald Bowl will again be played at SBC Park in San Francisco, Calif. Originally the San Francisco Bowl, the game this year features representatives of the Pac-10 and MWC. This will be the first appearance for a team from the Pac-10.

The Teams: Georgia Tech (7-4, 5-3) finished third in the ACC Coastal and shared the fourth-best record in the conference. Utah (6-5, 4-4) finished in a tie for fourth in the Mountain West.
