Vote: Capital One Bowl

Like the sweet smell of pine trees, the good cheer of friends and family and the horrendous parking at the shopping mall, college football bowl games are a staple of the holiday season. And while the four BCS games control the championshp picture, the other bowls often offer up the season's most memorable moments and fantastic finishes.

When: Jan. 2, 1 p.m. ET (ABC)

The Game: Arguably the biggest non-BCS game, the Capital One Bowl features the No. 2 selections from powerhouses in the Big Ten and SEC. Played at Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium in Orlando, Fla., the game began life in 1947 as the Tangerine Bowl. It was renamed the Citrus Bowl in 1983, before taking its current name in 2003.

The Teams: Auburn (9-2, 7-1) finished in a tie with LSU for the best record in the SEC but did not advance to the conference title game. Wisconsin (9-3, 5-3) finished in a tie for third in the Big Ten.
