Vote: Are the Mets buying a winner?

 Billy Wagner
Will Billy Wagner save the Mets?
If at first you don't succeed ...

Fool me once shame on you ...

When it comes to New York Mets GM Omar Minaya, pick your favorite cliché. One year after opening the checkbook for Pedro Martinez and Carlos Beltran, only to slide to an 83-79 record when Martinez sizzled but Beltran fizzled, Minaya is at it again. Just days after prying Carlos Delgado away from the Marlins for prospects, the Mets have reportedly landed Billy Wagner for $43 million over four years.

So what do you think of the new-look Mets this time around, SportsNation? Will all the money finally produce a division winner? Did the Mets just land the best closer in the National League? Vote on Wagner, Delgado and the state of the NL East.
