 Troy Glaus
Troy Glaus hit 37 HR in 2005.
Since when did Canada get involved in arms races between two superpowers? With yet another bold hot-stove move, this team acquiring slugger Troy Glaus from the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Toronto Blue Jays continue their attempt to make the AL East more than a two-team race.

Getting Glaus wasn't cheap, requiring the Jays to surrender Gold Glove second baseman Orlando Hudson and reliever Miguel Batista, but GM J.P. Ricciardi had made no secret of the fact he felt the team needed another big bat to truly contend.

So what's your take on the Blue Jays and the AL East, SportsNation? Have the Jays passed the Red Sox? Will they swipe the crown voters all but handed to the Yankees after Johnny Damon signed in the Bronx? Vote on all things AL East!
