| Is Steve "Franchise" Francis the answer? |
The maligned man in charge of the New York Knicks landed arguably the biggest name legitimately on the market prior to Thursday's trade deadline, acquiring Steve Francis from Orlando for the seemingly paltry price of prospect Trevor Ariza and Penny Hardaway (and Hardaway's expiring contract).
In Francis, Stephon Marbury and Jamal Crawford, the Knicks now have three explosive scorers capable of taking over a game on any given night. But all three are guards who love to shoot and aren't known for their defensive tenacity, which could create even more headaches for coach Larry Brown.
So what do you think, SportsNation? Did Thomas finally make the move that could eventually lift the Knicks out of the doldrums, or did he make yet another move that fans will eventually lament?
