By accepting the final proposal from the players' union, NFL owners ensured the league will continue under essentially the same financial rules it has had since the inception of the salary cap. That means teams will have more money to spend this offseason, as the cap is expected to climb above $100 million.
And there are certainly plenty of shopping options for teams that suddenly find themselves with a few bucks to spend. Need a running back? Shaun Alexander is off the market, but Edgerrin James and Jamal Lewis could be on the move. Looking for help on the other side of the ball? How about John Abraham, Julian Peterson or LaVar Arrington?
